Mirrorkhana/Autocross Oct 29/30 - Gwinett County Fairgrounds

^^^^

OK false alarm. Fedex found the tires wandering around the terminal about 30 mins from my house. I can only imagine how horrible it is for the tires right now. I can just see 2 lonely V710's clinging to each other wondering "Where are we? Our only hope is that someone somewhere knows where we are" Kevin all call you as soon as I get all this straightened out.

today was a blast, and so was the Mirrorkhana. I'm downloading the pics from my camera now. I'll post all pics/vids in this thread. Be patient.

today was a blast..

Awsome weekend guys! Best protege turnout ever!!! You guys rock. Great driving by all too, especially Justin and Wayne. Wayne PAX'd 6/187 while Justin PAX'd 12/187. Excellent driving. That's not to mention Justin taking home $50 from the Mirrorkhana.

Justin's driving this weekend makes up for his journey here, so I'll let the story slide.....this time (ask him about Alabama :D ).

There's one more race that counts this season folks. Lets see what we can do then and have a killer time!

Sweet sequences, Luke. I look forward to seeing the rest of the pictures and vids from the weekend.

I just walked in the door. I stopped by my grandmother's for some food sinceI'm broke until I get my $50 reimbursement. I had a blast all weekend. The mirrorkhana was awesome with the staggered starts and head to head racing. The AutoX course on Sunday was right up my alley. I love huge flowing courses where you can really get some speed up. Kevin, thanks so much for letting me stay at your place. I couldn't ask for more. It was finally great to meet everyone that I talk to on here and to see Luke again. Luke's car and my car were plagued by Halloween gremlins this weekend. I broke my endlink tab off the right rear strut sometime in the first or second qualifying run on Saturday and Luke was fighting some stud and lugnut problems all weekend. I was lucky enough to find a qualified welder Saturday night to fix me up. I'm sure Luke owes Kevin for waking him up early to bring him a lugnut. It was great to see that many Proteges out at one event and to finally get an up close look at Kevin's GRM Challenge Miata. How about Wayne and the #6 PAX....are you for real! Absolutely amazing on a big open course with our underpowered overweight cars. Wayne is the man. Period.

FYI, Pre-Preliminary results are posted here: http://soloatlanta.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=657 . I forgot to mention that in my previous post.

Again, it was a pleasure to see you again Justin. We all hope to see you back in town again, several times, next season. Hell, even if there is no race, just come to town to hang out. You're a lot more fun to hang out with than that Ying guy who abandoned us (though, I'm sure you won't fit into the trunk of a Miata).

Awesome.. I actually have a list of cars that I beat!
Great driving guys!

kickass gif luke!
