Mirror defrosters don't seem to work on m Touring

The user manual says you must turn on the rear window defogger in order to activate the heated mirrors, but I don't think they are working. Even the smallest amount of water and/or snow will continue to rest on the mirror even after an hour drive. In my old RAV4 and Honda Odyssey this was never a problem. Anyone else have this issue?

I thought the heated mirrors were only on the Grand Touring

They are only standard on GT, correct. Don't see them as an option for the touring. Remember there are things in the manual that you might not have in your car since they only make one manual.

I stand corrected. I thought it was part of my chosen package. That would explain things. Kind of disappointed though, that feature seems to be standard even on the most economical cars now a days.

CRV only on the top trim level, chevy cruze only on upper levels, only on upper levels of the Rav4, Sentra only comes with it on the top trim level. Top 2 trim levels on the Altima. Leather models only of the Escape ......

I stand corrected. Our 2013 Honda CRV EX does not have heated mirrors, but our 2001 RAV4 did and that model was sold to us as top of the line. Thank your for the clarification. I live in NH and just really wish I had heated mirrors. They work so well.

My 2005 Elantra Hatch has them, granted it was the top trim level for that vehicle but it is an economy car nonetheless. Legend has it that you may be able to sort these out for your touring, read through this to best determine (if you haven't already done so):
