Ok, here's some numbers. I'll go metric but it'll give you a good idea of my results so far.
I've kept ALL my gas receipts (about 80) since I bought the car (it had 8 Km on the Odo), so to keep track of fuel consumption and costs. I added all the quantities up and compared it with what my Odo says right now. To be sure, I added a full tank in case I was missing a couple of receipts. So my average has been 12L/100Km (19.6 Miles per Gallon). I'm quite confident that those are the good numbers. It has been only since this summer that I started to be careful and changed my driving style a bit. Usually, I stomp on gas whenever I can. I try not to speed too much but I love the acceleration. Around 60-65% is city driving with lots of traffic jams.
The last tank with Acetone was done this way, i.e. not caring much about fuel savings and I averaged around 11L/100Km. So we are talking of only 9% improvement. But I was really pushing hard, in the past with this driving style I've got 14, even 15L/100Km (on "spot checks"). So I averaged out all the tanks (less than 3 to be honest) done using Acetone and came up with a 10L/100Km average fuel consuption. I'll keep monitoring this and we'll see if this gets confirmed.
Now, the diff. btw 12L/100Km and 10L/100Km is 17%! I was surprised cus this was excactly my very firsts findings after my first tank. To be on the conservative side let's say 15%. That's not bad at all giving today's gas prices!

I figured that I would save this way over 400$ (CAD) on around 15 000 Miles (with 15%).
My next experiment will probably be using Acetone with regular gas! I know this might be crazy but I only boost 5-5.5 psi (stock) and by mistake I've put regular in a few times in the past (mostly in the beginning) and my engine didn't blew up!. I want to do a bit more research before, although it seems that regular (87 octane) burns like 91 octane gas with Acetone. That would be an extra $160 bux on the mileage above. We'll see... I don't want to compromise performance though.
So that's it!
