Some shots taken right after my rims got put on. Before my Lowering springs were put on and the door handles were painted.

Nice! I really like those wheels on your car. Also my rear glass decals are setup the exact same as yours only CS on right and zoom-zoom on the left.

The side panels I just pulled out...There was a bracket apparently screwed in to the back of the panels that I just broke off, still fits perfect. I would suggest using a set of picks to pull them out because the plastic isn't very durable. Used a flathead the first time I took them off and had to sand some spots smooth.

I wonder if it's possible to wrap them without taking them off at all. I'll probably give that a shot first.

I did that first but it didn't want to stay flat around the sides, it was really bumpy since you cant really pull it flat. I'm sure if you take the entire door panel off you can avoid breaking the clip buuuut that was just too much work.

Nice build! Looks like you are going the same direction that I am going with my Mazda 2. I hope you plan to do some more engine and suspension mods in the future like I have done with mine. BTW were did you get your wrap from for your interior pieces? I would like to do the same for my Mazda 2 but in True Red with a splash of Black.

I have an exhaust being put on tomorrow (hopefully) and I'll be doing a full upgrade on the suspension over the summer. I bought my wrap from metrorestyling and found it all through amazon. I actually am in the process of removing the vinyl and painting it since it does not seem to stick to the strange curves the pieces have due to the weather in florida. But it is a really good idea to vinyl everything first and make sure you REALLY like it before something more permanent comes into play.

New Photo with it lowered and all cleaned up =)

Corksport Racepipe exhaust was put on this week

This was just a shot I really liked a lot. The reflection of it on the roof was interesting.

You will fall in love with that exhaust. I have the same exact exhaust and when it is coupled with the Corksport SRI it makes the Mazda 2 sound mean! You will also feel a little bit more power.

I cannot get enough of the sound of it. I've had the SRI on my car since I bought it pretty much and even that gave it a good sound and of course the added power so coupled with this exhaust I am so happy. I was surprised by how quiet it was at idle though, thankfully actually. My friend was worried it would sound strange with my car being an auto but it sounds really good still (my car shifts like a manual lol)

Those are pretty cool looking but the carbon fiber wouldn't go with the rest of my car and it would bug the s*** out of me. Same if the blue didn't match. I like the simplistic look of the Corksport one.

He's hit his year mark today. Started with 3k miles and just rolled over 30k miles. This year has so much in store for him. Hopefully I'll have the time to get it all done. Next up is headers, Corksport Struts and Shocks, 3d Carbon body kit, and a lot more but those are the things on the top of my list...also the most expensive. With car shows galore this year he is sure to get a lot of attention and possibly meet some other 2 owners in the area who can give me some ideas. =)

Congrats Minimazda! The Grasshopper's coming up on his year mark in August...I hope I can do SOMETHING to it before the first birthday :P

Your ride looks pretty sick. I'll be keeping an eye on what you do to him in the future.

Thanks! I'm sure you'll find somethings to do to him before then. Some of the more unique mods end up being the cheaper ones. Like my door handles, used plastidip on them =)
I have SO much left to do...the next little things to be done is adding some blue leds to the interior, in the trunk and under the dash.

Just a few photos I took when I was down in St. Pete for a car meet. Progress is always being made =)
