Might be selling my car.... for a 240sx

Well guys after modding the p5...... i have come across one of my dream cars... thats right a 240sx. still debating whether to pursue the 240sx or just keep going on the p5.

well i am trying to figure out what the difference is from the black top sr20det and red top.
and if i should go s13 with the journal bearing turbo or the one with the ball bearing turbo from teh s14 motor.
i can get the 240sx as of now.
but thing is........ what engine.!

Good luck with what ever you go with. Which year of the 240? Not sure but wasn't it just for a couple years it was rear wheel drive (95-97)
 
1989. i know which engine is which now.
but thing is see the s14 engine.... its ball bearing turbo.
while the s13 is a journal bearing. both fit in the 1989 model.
 
Your selling a 2002 Protege for a 1989 240 SX are you completely insane?
 
why is everybody yelling sr20 to hell with that go for the (rb25det) single turbo skyline motor/my roomate is in the process of swapping in a rb25
 
That RB swap isn't that simple. The SR20det is a lot easier swap. Hell, I just found a 6 speed transmission for the SR20
 
too bad i cant get it yet..... i also found a sequential shifter for 400USD what a deal..... just imagine......... arrrggghhh i need to move outta the house lol
 
Pro's are great but a 240 hooked up the right way can be downright blazin' (the total package: speed and looks)! APEXI stud posted this pic in another thread. Very slick

ECKKKKKK!!! dude you cant boost 16 psi on the stock turbo. as for the seq shifter. Thats just a device that makes in in the seq. motion. the 6 speed is off of the s15. now s13 had redtops and black tops. just cause its black top doesnt mean its s14. Now if you are putting a s14 motor in an s13 you can email me and i can drop you to my friend. You will run into some wiring issues bad. No joke its called the CTC turbo kit for those cars. My friend willam tested ito on his car and put out 426 whp. My other friend naeem put 330 spinning on the dyno running off an afc cause he couldnt get his power fc to work (going back to the s13 to s14) those motors are insane. 6 of my frinds have done swaps and sold there other cars. GO FOR IT!!! but get a 95-97 like he said
