midnight blue pr5 - white rims?

hello everyone. been lurking for a few months when my interest in the PR5 was at a peak, and i finally joined the protege army one short month ago! it took me a long, long time to find, but i was able to get a 2003 with 13.5k miles in NY...and brought it back to boston.

anyway, i was hoping to see if any of you have put white rims on a midnight blue protege5?

i know some of the painted silver rims look almost white (like the mazdaspeed/racing hart ones, sorta) some i'm still trying to decide if white on blue will look good.

anyone with pics?

i don't think white wheels look all that great. someone here had white technomagnesio wheels, but the pics are gone.

i think the gold color rims would look better if u like those, white doesnt go unless your car is white.

there must be someone with photos of white rims on here! i think i've seen laser blue ones with white rims...but i can't seem to find any pics at the moment.

i now have a blue protege and only reason i didnt do white wheels again was coz i didnt wanna make a name for only having one style

white wheels can look either really cool (like that red civic) or really ricey. i have a feeling on dark blue p5 it i'll be the latter.

I'm not sure about the midnight blue on proteges, but my friend had white ones on a similarly blue RSX, and it looked great.

Maxx Mazda has white rims on his red P5 - and it looks very good I must say - but I think the midnight blue is too dark for white rims. Bronze, on the other hand, looks amazing, and is still not something you see every day.

You can go to tirerack.com and see what they would look like, maybe even with the rims you have chosen. Amanda13 has gold on her blue 5. There are pics on here somewhere.

i was thinking that it might look too dark for white rims, but i really want to see if it works before i come to a final conclusion. diehonda - i checked out tirerack but they don't have any of the white rims available to preview! cause none of the ones are chosen once you select a protege5...

I think it could be done well if you're very careful, but it would also be really really easy to make it look like ass

My other car (wife's car actually) is a 2001 Civic Si. It's "eternal blue" and she wanted white rims. i've never been a fan of white rims but we ended up buying a set of 17" white Buddy Club P1's and they look great on the car. I've been looking for pics on my computer but they must have been deleted and the stock wheels are on for the winter, sorry.
