Mid pipe Question

One of my friends has a MANN Mid Pipe that i would like to buy from him.
My question is if i install it in my MSP will it damage the engine in some way?Because i have heard that it gives you a fair amount of increase but might damage the engine. My engine is stock by the way, any suggestion or ideas thank you in advance

midpipes dont damage engines... just like guns dont kill people - people kill people.
whoever said the midpipe damaged their engine is a liar. if you beat the piss out of the car a midpipe might not help make the car last its longest, but youre still beating on the car...
so yeah, midpipes dont damage engines, people damage engines.

i agree there is no real risk in a midpipe ,besides deleting the catalytic converter and running more rich...other then that your fine...
