Mid Atlantic Snowpocalypse!!!!

I see they have them for $136 each on closeout, not a bad deal. I was searching for 225/40/18 and 225/45/18s instead of 215/45/18s.

I had these on my other car and they stuck like glue in the winter. Highly recommend. If you are looking for a better performing (in the dry) snow tire option, try the dunlop (wintersport??). I think they have a stiffer sidwall that will provide better turn-in feel.

I've used the LM-25s on my old Protege and those held up great and provided a great experience. I've heard mixed reviews on the Dunlops, but I think some people tried to push them like a summer and were disappointed, and didn't look at them from the point of being a purpose-built tire. The Michelin's get excellent reviews from a variety of cars, but are a little on the pricey side.

I'm sure your right. The dunlop snows will not be as good as dedicated summer tires, but are a bit more sporty than the Bliziaks, and they are more expensive. I am just sharing an observation from a friend who knows a bit about suspension/tires and their effect on performance. I would stick with the Bliziaks personnally, they had an incredibally confident feel to them.

Someone also mentioned Nokian, but they aren't carried at many places. I'm hesitant to look at a tire that doesn't have much following.
