Michigan Mazda Drive?

Does any one know if there will be another michigan mazda drive this year, i went to the 1st one and it was verry fun, just wondering if theres going to be another one sometime soon.

Well, sorry for the silence. I've been ultra busy the last month or so. I am not planning another drive anytime soon for a couple of reasons:

1. August for me is booked solid on the weekends.

2. The last one that me and others spent time and effort planning yielded 3 Mazdas participating. If it hadn't been for the 10 or so Subarus that showed, I would have called it off.

3. After comments from some parties about me being responsible for damage to their car during the drive, I'm not too interested in doing this and being sued or taken to small claims court.

Now that being said, it was a blast to plan, run and participate in and I think most everyone felt the same. If there is still interest post it here and maybe we can do something in September if thats not too late for some. Sorry for the absence.

I would be interested,I don't have any set travel plans for Sept. so I would like to come along if one gets set up. Might have to put on the new springs I am going to get from Chris before winter now

yea from what i remember some one wanted to hold kevin responsible for winshield damage personaly i think its total bulls*** kev was nice enough to share that route with us and have some fun but thats how it is there's always one

im game for another drive in sept. and more importantly, im game for signing any kinda "kevin is not responsible" form too, if it'd make anything more likely to happen. i say we kick whoever claims you're responsible in the face, and then blame it on him.

Well I'm not sure if it was being said in jest or not, but I take that kind of thing pretty seriously as I have organized many Ducati Club events and liability is a serious concern at any public event. As joker said, there is always one in a crowd.

Well anyways, maybe waiver forms is a good idea. I will have to see about getting some generic ones and having everyone sign them. (2thumbs)

Any dates better for some than others. How about the Saturday the 11th of September?

Mother of God! That was me.....I posted about it once.....as a joke.

I'm sorry that no one could read through that and you took it seriously Kevin. I absolutely loved that Mazda drive and never honestly blamed anyone for the crack in my windshield.

I didn't even notice the crack until I came out of the restaurant and was sitting in my car waiting to start up again. For all I know it could have happened just sitting there.

Feel free to ignore "#3" on Kevin's list as I hope you can forgive me for the ungrateful and accusing attitude I gave off. This was never my intention. My one post was meerly a joke.

I guess looking back on it, I didn't give Kevin enough props for the awesome meet he set up.

I hope we can all get over this stupid misunderstanding and have another meet in the near future.
