Andy: It's actually at the Restaurant at the corner of Whitmore Lake and N. Territorial. (1 block west of 23).

04 Redline = 04 Saturn Ion Redline

The weather right now anyway:

Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy skies early. A few showers developing later in the day. High 56F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

I'll be there no matter what. I'd rather make the call out there.

The drive happens rain or shine. I've driven the route a few times on my own and mapped it, so even if the bikes don't go, we're still good. If it rains, we just drive more carefully.

There is a Shell station west of the freeway and a Sunoco station east of the freeway.

REMINDERS

~ Fill your gas tank before the drive starts

~ Bring any two-way (FRS) radios that you may have

~ Group Leaders: please be there early so we can line up groups behind each of you

~ Group Leaders: please drive with your headlights ON so people in front of you can see where the groups are

~ DO NOT cross a double-yellow line under ANY circumstances! That includes while passing or cornering. If you are stuck behind a slow-mover, wait for a passing zone. We make every effort not to leave anybody behind.

my boss called me this morning as i was getting ready to leave, had to work some extra sunday morning hours, just got done :(, hope you guys are having fun on the drive...

Except for my brother driving the Lotus like an (asshole) , everything went really well. (thumb)

I think my parting burnout would have better if I hadn't missed 2nd gear. (encourage

See you all on June 18th!

I still can't believe I'm saying this, but I got slowed down by a Lotus. (boom05)

Started with 14, got up to 15, finished with 12.

The burnout was good but I liked the 180-degree e-brake slide better. (2thumbs)

Hopefully my brother won't have his wife with him next time. Otherwise I'm going to make him let ME drive the Lotus.

I'm glad nobody noticed the grind from 2nd gear.

Wish I had a video or pic of that. You had some nice smoke trails off the back tires too.

Yeah? Sweet! (smoke)

Actually, I think I may be glad you don't have any vid or pics. (shady)

Sounds like you guys had a good time. Sounds like you had the normal amount of no shows.

I didn't ride as I have been sick for over a week and the weather sucked. Plus the Aprilia was still in track format and the battery in the Duc was stone dead.

P.S. What's with all the burnies? Where was that going on? (notcool)

Just the same parking-lot shenanigans at the end of the drive that have been happening for the past few times. You know... as people are entering and exiting the lot at St. Pat's? Nothing out of the ordinary. (thumb)

Yeah and I didn't really think that was cool either from previous times. I'm just not down with all that stunting stuff as those folks at the church or anywhere could call the police or ask us not to park there. It just draws uneeded attention and where does it stop? Everyone will keep trying to one up the next guy. I'm not trying to bust anyone's balls, I just don't dig that kind of behavior from anyone at these or any group events. On their own time, whatever, do what they feel they must. Just my .02.

Well, you could have said something before now... (hand)

No problem, though. Let the Subie guys know (since they're the ones who started it) and the rest of us will knock it off, as well.

I'll put it into the guidelines for the next run.
