Im not sure the 2.3 turbo is much more heavy then the motor it comes with now.I dont know much about what they have in them now and how much it weighs.I would like to see the 2.3 DISI turbo in the RX8.I got rid of my RX8 because I got sick of having no torque and little Hp,Everything else was great.

it has the 2.0 right. i heard that all miatas are very revvy. i'm wonderin about the 2.3 turbo because it dies after so many RPM too just like the ms3 right? but hey if its fun and tossable, i might get one when i get more money lol.

haha piston in a rotary car lol. nah its kool. if ya want pistons, try go for a v8 for it xD

they need to do something to compete with the compitition coming from GM on the roadster scene

The Rx should just be killed off. No hope for it to be compeditive in this day and age and ford doesnt have the R&D money to let mazda waste on it anymore.

That would be nice!
Did anyone click on the pic of the DISI engine??? its is a HUGE pic....that is now my background

Heres the Mazda 6 link... It looks like they will use mazdas 3.7L motor..I read it wrong the first time. Here is what it says.

Mazda6: The 2008 model year will be abbreviated. The wagon and MazdaSpeed6 will be dropped, leaving just the sedan and five-door hatchback.

In early 2008, the Mazda6 will be redesigned and offered only in sedan form. The 2009 sedan will get slightly longer and wider, using some parts from the existing Mazda6 but also some improvements from its platform stablemate, the Ford Fusion.

The Mazda6 gets a new, larger four-cylinder engine. Also, because Ford does not want to share its 3.5-liter V-6, Mazda will do it one better, using a Hiroshima-sourced 3.7-liter engine that is also in the CX-9. It probably will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

yea ure right, im just not use to looking at the engine from the other side. Orginally i was like why is the timing chaining on the right? lol NVM its too early...thats my excuse(second)

The 6 is getting a 3.7? They should put out a turbo version of theat engine in the speed6! That would be great too. I'm glad Mazda has good plans coming.

Its the 6.No word on what the 09 3 will look like.Im sure they will have something out on the net in the next few months.

yeah i have seen all the spy photos of the 2009 mazda6 but thats the first i have seen of an actual picture. i work with mazda and they don't tell us crap until right before it comes out. my mazda district sales manager called me at the dealership last week and asked me where i found the spy photos. is it just me or is that a little ass-backwards? that redesign is long over due and as a salesperson i cant wait for it too get here.

I work for Ford at the chicago stamping plant and most of my friends show and tell me things before I even know.We are in the same boat as far as that goes. The auto makers seem to tell the media before there own workers about most things. That includes closing plants, poor sales, contract talks and so on.

Add it, we need the aftermarket support with more engines. This is great news and those miatas will be little monsters with this motor in it. I wonder which turbo upgrade they are considering to hit the 300 mark?
