MHP complaints

I am very dissapointed in the cooperation and overall attitude MHP exhibited towards me. let me explain the story. I was the first one that ever went to them so they could custom fabricate an intake for my mp3. They did it and charged me 279 for it. you can see my pic in the mp3 group in yahoo.
well i got that done in june. I was happy with it though even though i did have problems with the ticking coming from it rubbing against the master cylinder. I took it back and they fixed it. well when i was there i had just seen the carbon fiber intake and her said well make a deal on it.
well when i called back up there they didnt have it and they only had the black chrome one. They said they would do it for 75 in an exchange remember i had already paid 279, and he said if they found a better way to do it theyd hook me up. well i called it two weeks and he gave me and attitude and told me to come up there. i think the price was kinda ridiculous for me having spread the word about his intake but i said it was ok lets just do it. well to get the the point i went there today to get the intake done. they started out with the carbon fiber piece but i thought they were doing the chrome. then they got cheap and decided to use the same connectors over even though they were drastically faded and warped. and when i questioned it the owner Craig totally ignored me. they i was like i thought we were using the chrome he just looked at me like an idiot and said "Dude we already discussed this" but he did put the chrome on. They all were rude and seem not to care bout their customers. I am just really dissapointed in them and will never return there again. :( AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM OR THEIR INTAKE TO ANYONE. WE SHOULDNT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THAT. I JUST THOUGHT I WOULD TELL U MY SITUATION THAT HAS ME REALLY PISSED OFF!!!! thanks for your time guys.

But... Buying a intake from them in june when the cars was brand new, what did you expect. You should have waited and then got it. You should have known that other stuff would be coming out for the car. They were nice enough to take back your used intake which they probably through in the trash can and set you up with the newest one for cheap. I would consider yourself lucky. I have the carbon fiber one, if they came out with a newer one would I got demand them to exchange it for me??? No. That would be like going to mazda and demanding they trade you your 2001 mp3 for a 2002 mp3 if they have them. And then you have the balls to come on here and complain about it. I would say you are complaining about the wrong thing. They should have said F-Off pal you get what you paid for.

MHP was nice enough to send me instructions before they had them on their web page and seemed very helpful, they even offered me phone support if I needed it.

I would completely recommend MHP.

i was just really unhappy with their help and cooperation. and i am not the only one in my area that has had problems with them. that is another reason i am pissed. one of my friends had them put on springs and they ended up ******* up his rear axle. Just giving my opinion

Relax man,
Sorry, I'm not here to piss people off....

I just think that they were nice enough to go out of there way to make a deal with you and then you come on here where other people may get refered to them and tell everybody not to go to them.

Just Saying...

No hard feelings.

sorry man didnt mean to get pissed at ya. I am just very upset with them. I really recommended them at first when i got my intake. I am like the person that got everyone knowing about them. I am just really dissapointed in them and they have lost any of my future business or recommendations.

well, seems like they now went for the expensive way, i highly doubt they will keep getting that much of orders, thats just too much for a CAI, especially with Injen out there with a better performance CAI

Here's my two cents...

The guy I talked to at Racing Beat told me about MHP...They seemed nice enough over the e-mail I snet them with questions. I was going to get one, until I saw that the CAI puts the AEM bypass filter right on top of the regular filter. Then I saw the pipe was 3", which I thought was to big. Then I saw the intallation instructions and felt that it wasn't worth the money. I'm thinking of going with them AEM short Ram filter becuase of this.
