MF Official Ride of the Month (February)

Congrats... You deff deserve it!!

I forgot to ask you for a ride... But I guess I'll know first have with mine soon enough.

Maybe I'll enter the contest after I get my turbo installed.

Looking very nice. I was looking through the mod list...what color is the P5? Looks hella shiny!!!!

I think the forums should send Luke a year supply of oil for winning the Feb ROTM.

A year's supply, for Luke? Do you want to bankrupt the forum?

How 'bout a year's supply of oil caps? That might cost slightly less. ;)

I kid, I kid. Congrats Luke. :D

Well deserved! 1x for more pix.

(What does the Millenia PCV do for you?)

Prevents excessive amounts of oil from leaking past the pcv and into the intake manifold (on turbo cars).

it came from the supercharged Millenia, so it was designed for forced induction.

Is that the lil plastic inline valve you told me that I needed?
Where can I get one?

the inline valve is the canister purge check valve, 0000-88-C67 (the two clamps for it are C68 and C69). www.onlinemazdaparts.com has the valve for $11.08

Thanks Chris
How's the turbo life treating you so far?

The closer I get to my install date, the more anxious and scared I get.

Don't be scared. Everything has been going smoothly for me. Since I "finished" the install process, I haven't had to do any work at all. I still have a little exhaust leak since Corksport doesn't give you the gasket for between the S and J and I didn't want to use the new OEM gasket I bought because it would restrict the pipe down to like 2.25". Aside from that, everything is great, which is really good because the wind chill is -20F here right now. My gas mileage has been awful so far, a compounded problem due to the winter mix fuel, unflashed MSP ecu, and hitting boost way too often. I gotta get it in my head that I don't need to take it up to high RPMs to merge into traffic anymore :P

I can't wait for this disgusting cold winter to be over so that I can clean my car up and submit it for ride of the month :) just today I was driving to campus and hit a massive sudden snowdrift that was quite a bit deeper than the ground clearance of my car.. the snow level was halfway up my lower grille, I'm afraid I may have bent up my intercooler fins with it.. and it ripped down one of the wheel well guards and it's dragging on the ground right now haha.

wish I could live down where Luke is so I didn't have to deal with this crap.

Again, congrats Luke, the first of the new wave of turbo Protege5s :)
