Beau when will you be updating the info you have on the thumper kit????? I'm going for one of the kits but Im not sure if I want the sleeper or the Thumper kit...I guess It's based on my $$$$ situation but then again I dont want to decide the thumper kit is too much for me and miss out on the clutch deal coming with the sleeper kit.

Jeremy
Jeremy,

I will not be updating much on the thumper until it's released. There will be no more pictures put up until it's finished. We are in the last few weeks of development. So you'll see pictures once it's complete.

The Sleeper kit is designed for everyday cars wanting no more than 300-350HP.The Sleeper kit is a fast spooling kit. It's very fun to drive around town.

The Thumper kit is designed for the all out racer. The GT30R will support roughly 500HP.The Thumper kit will come with either the GT30R,GT35/40R or GT3071R.

Here is what the turbo's will support
GT30R 500HP
GT35/40R 600HP
GT3071 400HP

I thought I read somewhere that the GT3071R will support 450hp easily... but I could be wrong

but also, what GT30R are you going to use? the 3037?

The GT3071 is good for 400-450HP.I low ball the numbers so theres never any disappointments.

Yes, I use the GT3037

hmm.. ok... so which do you really reccomend then, based on the rest of the kit? iirc the 3071 will spool like 1000 rpms sooner than the 3037, sacrificing top end output. but again, I could be wrong.

The 3071 looks really good on paper.I will be testing the 3037 and 3071.
It really depends on what you are trying to do.If you are looking for something that spools a bit quicker and want 400-450HP then the 3071 is hands down a better choice. Now say you have a fully built motor that is spinning to 6500+RPM and want everything possible, then the 3037 or the 35/40 would be the choice.

(sad2) sorry if i sounded miss leading but i got the money to get the kit and unless my car gets stolen before the 16th i will be ordering it. :)

protege- i will involved splicing and wiring the MPI. it is NOT at this time Pnp. Those harnesses that would be required are very expensive, and wiring really isnt that bad once you do a few wires. It took me maybe an hour tops. Just double check the wire you use, etc.

now smp, what exactly are your mods and what are you running?
like- FMIC, what turbo, xtra injectors? ur runnin the MPI right?

details :D

whenever I see a conversation about the GT series turbos all I can remember is the BOZZ evoVI, pumping 450whp on the 3037s turbo spooling real quick and they mentioned the most powerful silvias run off these also.

hehe my setup isn't quite a full MAM kit but we're getting there. Beau's done a lot of customization that has made my car awesome! Running 9psi for now and strong.

my setup:

Garett T303
BEGI log style manifold
MPI Tuner (no extrta injectors)
MAM FMIC
MAM CAI
MAM 2.5 downpipe
3in exhaust

Beau: I have a greddy Type R that I was going to install on my 93 rx7..which is sold now...but i would like to know if this blow off valve is too much for the sleeper kit??? And If not...can you make a flange for it?

Jeremy,

The Type R will work on the Sleeper kit.Yes, I could make a flange for it.However I would need the BOV to do it.

Does the 3037 and 3071 have the same mounting plates so that if we decide to upgrade to 3037 it would be a direct replacement?
