Meet 'n Greet Sat 4/16/11

Cain is in town to do some work and tune a car. I have been asked to see if there is any intrest in putting a meet/cruise together for Saturday night. He (Cain) lives in an area where there are not many local mazda owners who are into the car scene. If you are down for something on Saturday night. Let me know if you are interested and what you think we should do.

On a side note, we are going to the EvolvChicago day at Autobahn on Sunday too. it is early in the day and I was thinking maybe we will head up to GLD to watch a little import wars after the event. You have to reg with Evolv to do the Autobahn thing.

No one seemed interested on Saturday night so I went to see Sucker Punch with my wife and oldest daughter. Good times.

Sunday was a blast. Cain is a great guy. He had no problems driving my car for a few laps. First time on a track and first time behind the wheel of an RX8. It was a bit cold at first, but we endured. The track time was fun, as was checking out all the other cars there.

This one was taken while Cain was behind the wheel. This is the last corner before the front strait of Autobahn's North course. Its a long double apex right hander that brings you onto the strait so you are all the way onto the gas through the second half of the corner. I am pleasantly suprised to see that there is very little body roll since you are really haulin the mail on this part of the course.
