+1 - Zeal Red is awesome, this why it was used in most of Mazda's "glamour shot" material and in the Japan's Car of the Year photo shoot.

My Big Red is the 2013 Zeal, and it is far from boring. The sun brings out subtle differences from various views. Now all I need is some sun here in MA and I be cruisin'.

That is what i like about zeal red the shade changes to that sexy dark red at dusk and it is striking in the sun.

Thanks everyone....will get more pics up when we actually get some sun...to dark and gloomy around here. It is a darker berry red when you see it sitting next to my cherry red 1987 Mazda RX7 with only 92,000 original miles on it. Saving the RX7 for my daugters to drive....two seater...no boys allowed

Probably not, I'm over near UCSD but you know how generic office buildings can get lol. Actually I was riffing on a convo I had with a co-worker about parking spots at our work this morning.

I like both reds and it would be very very hard to decide if they were both offered in 2014.
One thing about soul red is that it looks much better in person than in pictures.

^ This. Soul red is reminiscent to Mazda's velocity red in my opinion. Much more pop. Zeal red has that slight touch of spectrum towards maroon, which reminds me of those late 80's and early 90's interiors.

Of course, color preference is all subjective though.
