Well, the law is fuzzy. You can't drive a vehicle with a loaded firearm. You may get away with it being unloaded if the chamber is visible and open, as in a shotgun. The provision change if you are using the concealed carry law, but then you can't use the rack. Basically, its pointless, and even if you can get away with the firearm laws in the rack, you can still get nabbed for inciting panic.
