Mecha Error on head unit

Ok,

So what does this mean. I have a burned cd with MP3's in the headunit and I sometimes turn the volume all the way down to zero to just have some peace and quiet. I have recently gotten an error that says "Mecha Error" on the headunit. I take the disc out and put it back in and the thing is fine for a while. What is this error?

the error is MECHA ....... J/k ...... I have never heard of that .... probobly something to do with the reading of the disk...

Yeah my old MP3's head unit used to do crazy things to unless I used Roxio easy cd creator. I called Kenwood and they said they only use Roxio.

Sounds like it could be "mechanical error"?
Is it under warranty?

I had that happen a couple weeks ago. The mp3s that were playing have some quality issues. I just changed the disk and haven't had a problem since, even when playing the songs that caused the problem initially.
