since we had such a blast yesterday, some of us thought it would be awesome to see how many forum members would be willing to do some kart racing at chicago indoor racing. im not sure about pricing, but im thinking it would be in the $55-$70 range for the grand prix (3 qualifying races, 1 final). i had one of the best times of my life yesterday and figured it would be a great change of pace for a meet (especially during the winter months) as opposed to our usual routine.

this is not a set thing, i just want to see how many people would be interested and we can figure it out from there. if all goes well, i think we could do it in january or something (robs b-day ;) ) only respond if you are serious about going. i would rather not have 50 people say they will do it and then only 10 people actually show up. i know it isnt cheap, but the fun we had was WELL worth it.

oh manz...the traumatized rib cage is telling me it needs more racing. heh, it was so cool when you got into the rhythm of the track. everything else in the world just kind of disappeared. (deadhorse

sweet i've been wanting to go there for quite a while but never made it there .. let me know when and im in

I just love taking the turns as hard as I did. And the fact that Mazda was all over the place (I love when the guy's like "the finish line is right by the red car over there").

i felt so bad for andy and matt because they couldnt participate. which reminds me - you MUST be 18 years or older to race :(

I've seen some nasty accidents there as well.... my friend and his brother almost killed each other when the brother went straight into one of the poles on the course after being cut off and my friend was right behind him... needless to say, going from 30 mph to 0 makes the back end of a kart come up, allowing for the cart right behind you to get underneath... my friend still has the shoes that have the hole from where the cart landed...

Also, saw a guy try to take the hairpin on course one at full speed... instead of making the corner, he went sideways into the barrier... at full speed. ouch.

my fastest lap on track1 was 17.1 s

i was pretty happy with that. joses fasest was 16.6 i think.
