Mazdaspeeds in CT

welcome to both of you!!! I am from CT as well just but I have a mazdaspeed protege. We new englanders have a club called the NEPOC (New England Protege Owners Club) and speed 6's would definetly be allowed in the club just post up and introduce yourself into the NEPOC section of the forums.

Sounds good to me. I am yet to see another speed6 on the road. Just got mine back today. So glad to get rid of the impala rental I had for a week and a half. You should check out the NEPOC section also. We are trying to setup some get togethers throughout New Enlgand. How do you like it compared to the IS? I looked at an IS a few years ago, but ended up waiting.

I like the IS....for a 4 year old car, it's quite solidly built....good power for an inline 6 (I don't really drive hard often)..feels tight inside....compared to the speed6, i just loooooove the new stuff i have with the 6..steering controls..much much more interior space...proper cup holders..and my first turbo car
Cause i'm not used to giving my car alot of gas on the pedal, i don't really get maximal boost....starting to have heavy foot now..
Just getting used to the non-touchscreen GPS...i have my trustly garmin c330 (which i'll be selling to my housemate) and adapting to the menus and stuff...
of course no car is perfect...just making the best out of what i have

I went from having a truck for 7 years, so this is so much better.
Have you done the clutch adjustment? There is a how to section that tells how to do it. Its pretty easy and makes the car so much more drivable. The clutch catches so highs its really hard to get used to stock.
How often are you in or near CT? even if its not in Bristol, I'm always up for a drive especially to meet up with someone else with a speed6

ya, definetly check out the nepoc section...we have all sorts of mazdas on board and then some with mini's...whatever...it's about mazda's and cars, but more about the people (IMHO) we try and hook up several times a year for big meets...love to meet you guys/ladies...bazooka joe said:

I've adjusted the clutch yesterday...re-adjust again today...hope i got it correct..feels right for me now, gears shift without grinding...but feels abit clunky to put gears into position..maybe it's just me...i'm reading the threads on the clutch adjustment now

overnite. I was truly disappionted. Then about 3 weeks after I got my SVTF they called and wanted to make a deal. I really don't care for hatchbacks but got a great deal with 0% financing. I now have a Mazdaspeed6 and love it.

Actualy there were a few guy's last time I posted in the MS6 forum that were constantly posting what a piece of S#$T the MS6 was. I got a little tired reading it. Also there were lots of posts about How much better the MS3 is compared to the MS6. I got into a few heated battles and fiqured it wasn't worth it. I actually love all the Mazdaspeed cars, but I have to say the
Mazdaprotege speed is my favorite. I would love to get into a group meet or club.

well check out the nepoc section...we don't have any ms6's as of right now, some msp and a whole lot of proteges...we get together from time to time...car meets and all...hope to check out your car some time and oh, drove the ms6 this summer loved it and the awd!!
