do you race? www.mazdamotorsports.com. You have to have proof that you do at least 2 races per year (auto-x works), but you get mazdaspeed parts, at discount prices, or atleast, that's the theory...

The protege 5 has the same engine as the MazdaSpeed Protege. Some of the parts interior and exterior are interchangable. You can buy the MSP turbo kit from someone with an upgraded Speed for cheaper then an aftermarket kit for the protege 5. I'm not real sure what the Mazda Speed division makes just for the P5.

hes relating it more to nissan has nismo and toyota has trd..... which is tru to an extent in the mazda world but not nearly on that same level.... if that makes any sense.
nissan and toyota have a much better grip on there performance market then does mazda.

From what my dealer said, you can't buy speed parts unless they're an authorized mazdaspeed dealer, and even then Mazda makes you jump through a few hoops.
