Mazdaspeed777's Revamp Thread

My car is getting paint right now and they said that HZ is expensive as **** to mix...The price was still unbelieveably low but they told me what i COULD be paying...wow...Dont get HZ with light metallica flake if you ever repaint your whole car

Thanks for the info. Yah that is what the paint store told me when I got a small batch of it made up. It is because apparently and I quote "That the HZ color is not found in nature." (huh)(shrug)

(bump) still trying to find the time to finish painting bumper and sideskirts. My family has been taking up all my time which I love but sucks for my car. I am painting a crib for my daughter and I have to finish that so I can get it out of the garage then I can finish my car stuff.

Update: Finished painting the sideskirts last night and almost finished painting the bumper. Should hopefully finish that tonight. So making some progress. Next I am fixing the crack in my rear bumper, repainting it, and painting the valence black. Picks are commin' soon!... hopefully lol

Here is a pic of my Buddy Club sideskirts that I just finished painting:

Has anyone installed these on a P5 before? Need a little direction on installing them

my brother installed his on his protege sedan, all he did was drill two holes into each end and use the stock screws to screw them into the wheel well

no screws were used in the middle or anything, they dont really hang down at all
u could prob use a few small screws and screw them into that slot on the bottom of the door, if u get what im saying

Ok I will try that. I was wondering if the two screws on each end would hold them ok. I will probably do a couple on the bottom as well. Thanks

Finally got the bumper done and the lip put on it, also the pics show my new rims a little better as well(they are kind of dirty though):

dude do you own a good camera lol all of your pic are always blurry

maybe u need to invest in a camera, car looks nice though i like the front, just get the flames off next and your set

Wow///What color did you use on the front bumper....It really looks off....But I am sure ts because your car is weathered and Yellow doesn;t like to play weel with other yellow anyway.

you should have just used the bondo/body filler to fill in the roof ridges and then fiberglassed on top of that so you wont have any stress cracks,

or at least if you do they will be easier to fix
Wow...No.

If he wanted to do it right..He should have had matel cut to fit the roof channel..Then had that welded in..and finished with a small amount of filler.

Bobndo or FG will crack on that roof.

I bet the roof rails dont make it four weeks of regular driving before cracks show up.

Glad your doing stuff yourself....But sometimes doing it yourself just gives you a headache later.

Sorry, they are cell pics. I have a camera but lost the memory card to it. Yah the flames will eventually be gone.

Get some more pics bro, I wish I would of ran into this thread earlier. Can't wait to see the finished product, you got a lot of good ideas for this car. Click on my "From BC2 to MSP" link, I just painted the primed parts and are now on the car. Those sides look REALLY familiar. haha.

Thanks man! Yah I have quite a bit more work to do though. I am going to install the BC2 sideskirts when I can get some help, gotta drill some new holes in them and have someone hold them while I do so. Glad to hear you got all your goody's painted as well, I will check out your thread to see the new pics.

UPDATE: Next projects I am tackling will be in this order:

1: Install BC2 sideskirts
2: Finish roof and repaint
3: Fix crack in rear bumper and repaint
4: Sand off flames and repaint
5: Start painting entire car piece by piece

Your car is gonna be a damn good looking yellow p5, and I really don't like the yellow protys so that means a lot. haha.
