i don't mind discussion of other products so much, however i would like the central focus of this thread to be on the performance of the TMIC we offer.
Just trying to help out. When I clicked onto this thread, I was expecting to read about ETS' TMIC not some other Comp's product.

i appreciate the help, always. honestly it helps me in a way ironically, to know there are other units out there :) lol

No plans for a TMIC here. Go with ProtegeGarage or Auto EXE. It looks like Ken has the better price and he is a supporting vendor.

I am VERY tempted to try one of these by the way but paying off the car in full has left me broke as can be.
Wanna trade for one Ken?

trades, eh :) pm me with some ideas and i will surely consider it. you will not be disappointed.

Even with the FMIC options comming out, an upgraded TMIC still sounds nice.

FMIC Pro's
-less heat soak
-better opertunity for cooling

TMIC Pro's
-less expensive
-easier to install

I think once, some people out there have this TMIC and we can see some consistant gains, it will be a popular upgrade, because it is cheaper and easier to install than a FMIC.

ordered. Writeup will come as soon as I get it with tons of pictures and etc.

keep this thread on track about tmic offered by protege garage... if you have any other questions about the 3 and its options please ask them in the FI section and they will get answered there.

thanks

Not that i could get one yet as the Masda 3 MPS only gets released in January here, but would you ship to the UK?

We have no problem with shipping the TMIC overseas.

Thanks.

weee.. according to the Ken Miller Order status email, my TMIC has been shipped!

I totally forgot to ask.. will this have any problem with clearance issues?

forgot to ask also..

Ken, what shipping company did you use so I know which truck to look out for.

Im a noob, The MS3 is my first car, Which one do I want to buy and how easy is it to install myself?

Well if you're asking me Elderly it's this TMIC
http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123650856
which is the whole point of this thread, if not from the shear ease of installation, especially for someone new like yourself, but the great price for such a great gain.

Rule is 100$ per 1 hp on 4 cylinder cars like these. 20hp x 100$ = $2,000.00 - cost = $1,450 Looks like you're breaking the norms by. Looks like you're saving 1,450$ more than most cars would have to do to get near the gains. If you are actually worried about heat soak on a SCCA national event with this thing giving you a drop in 5 hp after 3 heats, you need to rethink your pit procedures between heats.

Regardless Elderly, http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123650856 will getcha what you need :)

I have an extended warranty so i'm not interested in voiding it, It's pretty simple to swap out? i'm no mechanic.
also i'm not really looking to go to any events any time soon. whats its performance on the street?

Yeah, it's ridiculously easy to install, something like 30 minutes of work, requiring only simple hand tools, don't even need to jack up the car or nothing. Not to mention the part couldn't be located in a better place for access in the engine bay. Even if somehow how you still can't figure out how to install it, anyone who knows how to change oil most likely has the mechanic know how to bolt this bugger on :)

Since you guys are Autoexe vendors and you don't even mention their TMIC, should we assume it is prohibitively expensive? Or it's just not compatible with your selling your own FMICs?

Edit: n/m found it. Looks nice but that's a lot of moolah for sharp looks. I guess the welds on the ETS don't look so bad afterall.

Not to bad mouth the AutoEXE TMIC, as it's a very beautiful piece, but the pictures you see of the ETS TMIC on ProtegeGarage are of the prototype version which was taken apart quite a few times. Those pictures are going to be replaced very soon with the final version of the TMIC which is much cleaner in appearance!

Anatoly.
