Well, Yea i know Sam . Stop beating on the car . I am really not I dont go around all day beating on it. Anyway back on topic. Ive had alot of mixed questions and answers on what psi The car can handle. Well in my setup I boosted to 15 spike to a hold of about 12 13 psi . It want hold 15 psi it bleeds off in the upper rpms . Probaly the bpv leaking. Anyway thats with a 11.9 or so a/f ratio. Will i do this everyday no. This motor is stronger in my opinion then people say. I started at 9 psi Went to 11 psi and stayed there for a long time But I recently had to lower my upper fuel limit and made it rich so i turned the boost up to lean it out. I just though i was fast . It throws me back pretty f&&** hard now. Anyway anyone here feel free to talk about the psi you have run and what outcome has came of it. I think we need a honest thread about what peopel are really boosting and the outcome of how things went . (hah)

I need to make a vid the dam thing screams now. Oh yea no race gas for me Chevron 93 octane . Didnt skip a beat no deto. Just "Hauls balls"(cheers)

Nice! I've been boosting 8.5 daily and 10 for the races for 15,000 miles now, she couldn't run any better than now either, thats also untuned, i to get her tuned then we'll see what happens.... nice set-up though.

Nm

Yea i think 10 psi 11 psi daily tuned will last the duration 15 psi for the nonebeleivers of the speed . (poke) I am going to get some vid tonight of the car in action . Hopefully she holds . Factory freak or tuned to perfection .

I run up to 14 psi on Sunoco GT 100 many times. I use a dual stage controller and always take off at stock boost before I flip to stage two. I only do this in the warmer months. Otherwise I keep stage two set at 10 psi. Now that its colder, I just run around in stage one only. Currently over 52K miles and so far no mechanical problems. If you treat the engine right, it will last in my opinion.

subscribing for vid... i need to live vicariously as I am boost-less :(

Nice... I was boosting at 10psi spiking to about 14psi for a long time. I just took off the mbc and fcd though, I think the fcd was going bad, or my car didn't like it anymore cause I was fuel cutting like mad. I am in line for a unichip that I will have a local unichip shop here tune it for 12-13 psi. Personally, I do think our cars can handle that much psi, if you take care of her.

Yea for sure . What surprises me is iam running 93 octane. It does bleed of to like 12 or so . Dam thing when i punch it in 2nd gear jerks my dam hand .

Yup, you know I'm a big believer that these things are stronger than most people give them credit for. I had those dyno runs about 4 months ago that put out 277 at 12psi, and then I turned it up to 15 the next day. I ran at 15 on 101 fuel for about 2 months, and then turned it down to 13-14 and started putting the 91 back in. 2 months now at 14psi on 91 octane, and still holding strong.

For sure man . I need to go ahead and get the gt28rs . I am probaly going to be blowing hot air on the stocker. Dam man this dam thing a beast . Iam scared to dyno because of the load. Iam in Louisana to,so lots of humidity . Its crazy this thing is holding strong . Everyone that rides in it is surprised, They tried to get me to race a turboed rsx tonight but my son was with me. I will get some vid soon. Just got to get the time to do it . Maybe at the Texas meet . Dam Rich why didnt you tell me a long time ago to go to 14 15 psi . Boost hog .(hah)

mine went to appx 25psi before the engine blew up. it was warranteed because the wastegate failed to open

almost 100K on mine boosting up to 14 with full supporting mods + 94 pump. Just dont boost 5th or cut any corners and your are fine. post a vid.

Yea

I am going to get some vid Blk zoom zoom . I need to talk with you on the secrets to the launch and things like that . I have everyone saying theres no way the car will ever run low 13s . i want to prove them wrong.

You need a thing called "traction", unfortunately with traction comes a thing called "load". I was in the same boat you are now, drove the car almost 7k and brought it to the track every week. Ran mid 13's for a year, then I got the thing called "traction", and its friend "load". My rods didn't like this "load" thing, and decided to leave.

Be careful.

j

Yea more load on the motor when tires stop spinning. Thats why i try and get people on the street from a roll.
