Mazdaspeed RX8 Shift Knob?

Has anyone equipped their MS3 with this Mazdaspeed RX8 shift knob?

Yeah it looks real good but I can't tell if it's larger than the stock MS3 knob, or if it's heavier.

They don't have it available at the dealership for me to look at. But I haven't ordered it yet, so don't worry!

That's a pretty funny observation though. From those who have it on other cars, they like it alot apparently. I like the stock knob a lot, just wish it was a little larger, for lack of a better word..

I like it because it looks comfortable, and functional, not flashy. I like form to follow function. A solid aluminum or metal knob while pretty, will get hot in the sun, offers less grip than leather, urethane, or other materials, and just doesn't work for me. I've been searching for this knob on the web and they are hard to find. It looks as though Mazda has changed the RX8 knob offered in their catalog to one with a rotary metal cap on it and it's not as cool looking to me as this urethane one. If anybody can find them in stock, please post up.

that shifter does look kind of cheapy, tho it's most likely NOT. Agree on it looking like an eraser, or rather a dilldo (however you spell that haha)

i think the stock ms3 knob is probably one of the most bitchin stock knobs out there

I think I'm staying stock myself but I like that one just fine. I believe the word you were looking for is spelled "Dildo".

I like the shape of it but not the urethane material. It probably feels better than I imagine but grasping a rubber dildo looking knob just further cements the notion of having a dildo ride with you front & centre at all times!

I`m not a huge fan of the OEM MS3 knob but quite like my carbon Autoexe one thus far.

I do like the stock shift knob, only wish it was slightly larger.

I really like that. I had the urethane Ralliart shift knob on my Evo and absolutely loved it.

Nope, i'm talking about the ones in the first post, the urethane shift knob pictured.

But I do like the RX8 shift knob!! Just don't like the fact the pattern is wrong. How does the stock RX8 knob feel?

I don't know which RX8 this came from but the shift pattern is correct (as you can see). It feels weird when I first got it because of it being triangular rather than round. I got used to it now. It's a little heavier than the MS3 knob. I like the matching red leather stichting.
