Mazdaspeed RX-8

Doubt it...your only option is to purchase a RX-8 and purchase the Mazdaspeed Accesories through your dealer...

Dang. I remember a while back reading an article about it, they beefed up the suspension and did a little bit of tuning to the rotary for tq and hp...

What about suspension, do they have the mazdaspeed suspension you can buy??

yep, you can go here and check out the Mazdaspeed accessories for the RX8 available by Mazda

Could they really get meaningful HP gains from the rotary by just a tune? I think they'd have little choice but to add F.I. along with suspension and body upgrades. When you realize that the Mazdaspeed 3 is a whopping 64% more powerful than the next step down in the MZ3 lineup, they'd have their work cut out for them to make a MS RX-8 a reasonable improvement over a M/T coupe.

Considering the miserable gas mileage of the current model and the reliability problems they're already having, I'd be surprised if there is a MS RX-8.

lol its still funny that people expect good gas mileage from a rotary... :p

(werd) & (mswerd)

And now you people wanna throw a turbo on it? haha :p

well, wait....

...Id still want to throw a turbo on it...

(maybe because Ive gotten used to premium fillup + bad gas mileage (eekdance))

lol this is true...but i still get 31mpg on the highway w/ the MSP lol divide that in half for a turbo Reni

That wont be for some time and it will most likely be after a new body design...

Check out the Mazda specific Auto News for more info on the RENESIS 16X.

My RX-8 has been very reliable.

I was thinking about the RX-8 but I don't think I'll get rid of my MSP for it. I added all the Mazdaspeed parts for the RX-8 and it came out to $12K, that's just the parts, not even labor if you want it done by the dealership...geez

Hmm...I need to get a day, where I can go to the dealership and test drive a RX-8 and see how I like it. True, I was talking to someone about getting parts for a lot cheaper then what the dealer sells for....

We'll see...

I too wish for a mazdaspeed rx-8, like the concept version in my avatar. My next mazda will be an rx-7, unless they come out with a ms-rx8...but for now the protege' 5 will do (outie)

My friend is parting out his rx-7, the built rotary blew...plus he has a s2000 now. His FD was insanely quick and handling was awsome.
