I don't think they will fit on P5, I believe sedan's pipes are little longer than wagon.
ebay sells Mazdaspeed exhaust system which is just axle back, not a cat back.
if you want power gain, go with RB cat back($400) or bosal,($380) or greaddy($500) or custom cat back ($200~300)
Indeed it is. It's a bit more than just the muffler. It's about 10-12" of piping from the muffler that hooks onto the end of the cat pipe. I was really surprised how simple installation was with the proper tools and HKS supplies everything for you but wrenches and WD-40.
Performance 'gain' seems to be minimal, it's more about sound on this setup. However, I will agree with everyone else that at 3500-4500rpm on the highway it does drone.
yes it is, and no its not a universal muffler...its an HKS muffler welded onto an axle-back piping with hangers that bolts directly onto the stock protege5 piping...it comes with seals and bolts and whatnot...here is a decent pic
now thats a nice ass muffler! i would defenitely buy one. Is that pretty loud on the freeway? does it come with the silencer?
can u give me a # where i can buy one and wuts its called.
i know its hks buy wut model?
Too rich for my blood and IMO not worth the extra money for what you're getting over the HKS.
Drew I got your PM and replied with all the information you should require. The silencer attaches via two 5mm allen head screws and can be removed/attached whenever you want. It's doable (noise) under 3500rpm with music but any higher and it drones. However, I've gotten nothing but compliments on it as it's not whiny.
