MazdaSpeed Club???

Ok I figured we'd try this again. Been trying to get a club together of MazdaSpeeds. I figure all Speeds. MS3, MS6, MS Miata & MS Proteges. I know there is quite a bit of MS3 on the island though, met a bunch at the last Mazda3 cruise. I also been seeing them around more lately & heard about the new 2008.5 ones. A regular person could buy a Mazda3 for example but I think it takes a certain type of individual to get a Speed version, same with a regular Impreza vs a STI. Plus it looks super cool when you roll as a club too. Been asked to join some clubs with EVO's & STI's but wanted to make something a lil more Mazda exclusive & want to keep it respectable. Not sure if any of those EVO or STI crews are known for racing or not.

Think this is a good idea? Respond here with your name, what kind of car you drive & what part of the island you're from then we'll set up a meet. Maybe have a cruise or something. Just to get everyone out, get to know each otehr & go over details I guess. Still in the process of seeing how & if there is any other MazdaSpeed crews out there & possibly what they did.

try giving Efren a call (Pres. of Team Pro5) or Katsu (i think his peeps have
6's ?) . they could probably give you an idea of what kind of turn out you may get for a Mazdaspeed club. Good Luck.

IMO not many people will turn out for just a Mazdaspeed club. All types of Mazdas lurk these forums and try and meet up when we can. there are a bunch of us that didn't buy the Mazdaspeed versions but like wrenching cars and are trying to build a better ride. When we meet up, we usually talk about mods and stuff and, at times, help each other with little projects/installs, etc.

Just come out to a meet and make some friends. there is one coming up in may, i think. it won't be exclusively "mazdaspeed" like you would like but the people are super cool.

I don't think I met Katsu but I heard of him. I met Efren before but don't have his number. I know there is enough Speeds to make up a decent club. There is a MS6, MS Miata & MS Protege who live near me & I have a MS3. Plus I seen quite a bunch of different Speed3's so far. I know though not everyone who has a Speed car would or are interested in a club. Just something I wanted to try out if I could get it off the hround. Could be a new Mazda club, that's be cool.

Oh yeah, I didn't hear about the May get together yet, hope its not when I'm working. I still go to as many Mazda meets as I can. I met quite a bunch of cool Mazda owners. I was a Nissan owner for many years & drifted too, I like that Mazda owners seem a bit more normal & controlled. Lot of Nissan guys are young punk racer/drifter wannabe kids. Or should I say 240 guys. Didn't have any problems with the 300ZX guys. We had a full 300ZX crew before, I just think a full Speed crew would be cool. Sorry it seems I'm rambling.

Yeah, the idea is a great one indeed....but in the end like hilo said, a MS only meet will be hard.
With all the combined MS's on the island, you may be able to get three together.

FH has a strong M3 following, you should try hook up with them, or else you're always welcome to come out to any of our MSPEC, PRO5, Mazda 6 club Hawaii get togethers.

Good luck Casey. Thank you for the great effort you are trying to put into this.

Still think combination meets are the best hee hee. It's the only way to get some guys to show. I guess what I'm trying to say is for for it! Form your Speed club. You can have your mini meets then show for the bigger combination meets when those are planned. That's what most of the Mazda scene here are doing now days.

Yeah I think it'd be cool to start a seperate club but of course we'll still cruise with the other Mazda guys (& girls) too. There is what; the 3 club, 6 club, M-Spec & I think IRX died? Just think it'd be cool to start another branch of a Mazda club that's all. So far all the Mazda people I've met have been real cool.


Hey Alex, what part of town are you at? I seen a Black Speed3 that lives kinda by McCully Shopping Center side, is that you? I semi messed with a Black Speed3 in town once too. Hope that wasn't you.

Haven't had much luck trying to get this off the ground but looks like you're in town side somewhere, so am I , hawaii3, & theMS3. Pretty sure at least us 4 could get together & plan or figure something out. Gotta check with the other two guys though. At the least maybe we can try to get mostly town guys together so they don't have to commute so far to hang out. Could probably get dizzid to come out too if I persuade him, he has a MazdaSpeed Miata. Are you any good at organizing a crew at all? Seems I got more followers than leaders, including myself. If not, could always make like what we had with our previous crew... an inner circle. The founding members decided as a team about everything & we elected a president to represent us when needed. Well hope we can get something together, welcome to the forums, noticed you're only 5 days new. Just bought the car? See you on the road.

i actually bought the car in December, but i've been gone since March. i will be back in September. i'm looking foward to startin this up around that time. i live about 5 min from the stadium so i'm pretty central located. shouldn't be a problem for me to get anywhere. when i get back though, it's definately on!!

I'm gonna be gone for almost 3 weeks right in the beginning of September. Could try & see if we can't set up some type of meet while I'm gone. Of course the main guy who tried to get this off the ground intially, wont be there the first meeting. Ironic yeah?

I'm planning the 1st MazdaSpeed meet for 30 August at 7 pm at Kakaako Park behind the old Pfleuger Honda. Open to all MazdaSpeed cars & drivers. Trying to form a MazdaSpeed club, figure it'd be mostly town people & we'll join up with the leeward side Mazda & M-Spec meets too... if that's cool. But its open to any & all MazdaSpeeds, so if you don't mind the trek to town, come on down. We'll see what the turn-out is & go from there. Post back on here if you're interested or gonna attend. Cool, glad to meet you. A couple threads down you'll see a MazdaSpeed Meet set for 1/11/09. Come out to that one if you can, sounds like it'll be a good turn-out. Mostly Speed3s wanted to hang with a MazdaSpeed club but open to all Speed vehicles.
