Mazdaspeed avaibilty

Hey.. well im intrested in buying a mazdaspeed protege. And the local delaer sales them and has a orange one in stock.. The only thing is that i cant get it till july. Do you think they will still have them (even tho its a limited production vechile) .. Also, does anyone know the numbers on how many they made?

I was going to get a SUV instead of a car.. But after today and racing my friends Sentra SE-R Spec-V i fell in love with the power of these type of cars.

Well you might not find a 2003 left in july. But there is a 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege coming out as well. I don't know the date on that. Someone here does i bet.

cant beat that muddin... haha well after taking 4 hours to pull out my friend and realizing how much its going to cost if i get stuck (damage) also gas is insane i thought i would just get a car that i would have fun in...

But the 2003.5 look good.. I like the yellow just not the spoiler but i can change that.. Will they be out by july? and any other differences? and how many of them are going to be avaible? Thanks

In my opinion, and probably the opinion of every MAZDASPEED owner on this forum - there is simply no car like the MAZDASPEED for $20,500. The ultimate 'complete package' sports sedan on the market. It is KING!!! Drive one, and you will understand. I promise.

It's top speed is 130mph, I believe; only because there is a cut off at that speed. I have heard it will easily achieve 140mph. Mine has been 110mph, and it was climbing fast from there.

As far as the suspension, nothing in it's class comes close. It corners like it's on rails, with very little body roll. It's incredible!

To put the MAZDASPEED's suspension into perspective, you only need look at Sport Compact Car Magazine's Oct. '02 test on the car: "The fastest car we have ever tested through the slalom (77mph). It dethroned the Integra Type R, as their benchmark. Very impressive, when you consider that the Integra Type R has 220HP to the 170HP of the MAZDASPEED. So; what the MAZDASPEED lacks in horsespower, it makes up for in handling. Impressive stuff!

The Kenwood Excelon Sound System is the best I have heard in a production car. There are better, but the cars that these systems are in, cost a whole lot more than $20,500.

Total production for 2003 model: 2,000 * Not sure of the ratio of Black Mica to Spicy Orange Mica.

Hey!! I'm working!! It's very cool, I spend my day in front of a computer, as I am the IT Procurement Admin. for my company - so the forum is always up! Not only that; I look out my window, and there sits my MAZDASPEED. Did I mention that I love my MAZDASPEED?!!!

By July, black and orange 2003 MAZDASPEED Proteges should all be sold. The only exception would be if a dealer is asking wayyyy too much for one, in which case they might still be stuck with it (and you might be able to pick it up for list, since I'm sure they'll be desparate to get rid of it by then.)

1150 Black (U.S.A. only)
600 Spicy Orange (U.S.A.)
250 Spicy Orange (Canada)
2003.5:
2500 total
875 Blazing Yellow Metallic (U.S.A.)
