MAZDASPEED 6... It's Coming (old)

wow.

trade up man! awd is the only way to go. with mazda's history of handling... wowwww...

and it's bigger than the wrx/evos... but i wonder how much it'll weigh.. and if it's tuned for a more subdued market..

I'll believe it when I see it. I think it would be a smarter move to make a Mazdaspeed RX-8 before a Mazdaspeed 6. Seeing as how the RX-8 caught some flack because of they horsepower claim issues.

Mazdaspeed6 would be the hotness! Especially if it's anything like the MPS concept.

I believe the rep was confusing the mps6 and mazdaspeed 6. The mazdaspeed 6 has a different bodykit, wheels, and pcm flash. The MPS 6 will not be available in the states, has a 270hp turbo'd 4cyl, and awd.

Why would they outclass their RX8 with a family sedan?

even if they do come out with a 280hp AWD sedan, I wont care, because I sure as hell ain't paying the insurance on that beast.

Remember that the 6 shares an almost identical platform to the x-type - and that there are already diesel 6s out in europe with awd systems.

I wouldn't call the 6 a family sedan but a sedan non the less. It's always been my dream to have a larger car the hauls off the line so fast that no one really believes what they just saw

It's called a BMW M5.

The RX8 is nice but it's still a rotary engine you can't just pick one up anywhere which makes it's unatractive to build up. I know there was a lot of good things about the RX7 but there was a reason they stopped production

?

The rotary engine kicks ass! There are a ton of shops the specialize in rotaries, and what do you mean it's "unatractive to build up"? I think it would be much cooler to have an MSRX-8 than an MS6. I mean, the rx-8 is supposed to be the mazda sports car, until the new rx-7 comes out.

I only pay 100 a month now for my brand new 6s allwheel drive makes it safer so after the hike from hp the safty aspect will ballance it out

In what way is AWD safer ? Doesn't it only help you during accelleration ? Brakin remains the same (unless you put it in reverse and hit the gaz to stop your car ??) Maybe i just dont get it ... explain plz =)

i know it helps with traction ... but thats never gona help you that one time you'll have to slam on the brakes real fast. But AWD kicks ass anyway =)

i just think it doesnt make that big of a difference on the safety side. It owns on every other aspects though hehe.

RWD > AWD, but requiring 10 characters to post > me.

depedns from which point of view.

I live in quebec. We just got like 20 inches of snow in the last month. I dont wana have to have 2 cars because of the winter. so powerful RWD car = a big no no for me right now. Cool AWD car would be the bestness.

when i'll make 200k a year and move to california, then i'll start thinking about a nice FD or something like that =)
