Most people in NoVA are terrible at driving in the snow, and I just shake my head whenever I see someone driving an automatic burning their tires (flame) in the snow looking as though they're doing a dyno run. It's so nice to be able to control the power going to the wheels via the manual transmission. *^_^*

The two times I had to drive the MS3 in the snow sucked with stock tires. Traction control made it worse when engaged. Can't afford snow tires but I can leave the car garaged in those conditions though.
Mr.Jake said:Yea, definately pick up some snow tires. I have not done that yet, and live in thornton, CO and the MS3 stock tires HATES the snow. I would pick some up but the snow season is almost over and I think it would be a waste of money till next sesson.
Mr.Jake said:Alex that is very true it wouldnt be a waste now. I guess what I should have said is that I dont have the money at the moment. By the time I get enough to pay for them, the snow season would be done. I do agree with you though. If it gets that bad out I just drive my buddies truck. He never goes anywhere. I know what kinda of car I bought and I wouldnt take the risk going out in the snow to just get in an accident.
dcomiskey said:It drives me crazy when I read this. I saw the same thing when I got my VW that came with Pilot Sports. THE STOCK TIRES CANNOT OPERATE SAFELY BELOW 40 DEGREES. And to say you can't afford it... That argument drives me ******* nuts. A set of snow tires and steel rims costs anywhere from $450-650. Compare that to the cost of getting in an accident. If you just bought this car and that small expense is too much, then you shouldn't have bought the car, IMO.
