I have a set of Pirelli Pzero Nero M+S, and my MS3 handles great in the snow. ^_^

Most people in NoVA are terrible at driving in the snow, and I just shake my head whenever I see someone driving an automatic burning their tires (flame) in the snow looking as though they're doing a dyno run. It's so nice to be able to control the power going to the wheels via the manual transmission. *^_^*

I have them same tire and they are pretty good in the snow, but not great in the rain and they seem to be flat spotting. Do your tires feel unbalanced after they sit over night? Mine vibrate until they are warmed up.

Nice this is great guys thanks for pitchin in the advice i def. appreciate it.

Yea, definately pick up some snow tires. I have not done that yet, and live in thornton, CO and the MS3 stock tires HATES the snow. I would pick some up but the snow season is almost over and I think it would be a waste of money till next sesson.

Mr. Jake yeah I totally understand I'd definitely try and ride it out as well probably. Not worth spending 800 dollars on tires for 1 more month of maybe snow..

+1

The two times I had to drive the MS3 in the snow sucked with stock tires. Traction control made it worse when engaged. Can't afford snow tires but I can leave the car garaged in those conditions though.

Mine on true snow tires has been pretty unstoppable in the snow and slush. I'm loving life right now, but I am pretty anxious for spring to come so I can at least wash the thing...

It drives me crazy when I read this. I saw the same thing when I got my VW that came with Pilot Sports. THE STOCK TIRES CANNOT OPERATE SAFELY BELOW 40 DEGREES. And to say you can't afford it... That argument drives me ******* nuts. A set of snow tires and steel rims costs anywhere from $450-650. Compare that to the cost of getting in an accident. If you just bought this car and that small expense is too much, then you shouldn't have bought the car, IMO.

If there is a chance that you'll need to drive in snow, then I would highly recommend getting winter tires. It wouldn't be a waste now because you'll have them for next season.

Alex that is very true it wouldnt be a waste now. I guess what I should have said is that I dont have the money at the moment. By the time I get enough to pay for them, the snow season would be done. I do agree with you though. If it gets that bad out I just drive my buddies truck. He never goes anywhere. I know what kinda of car I bought and I wouldnt take the risk going out in the snow to just get in an accident.

Glad to hear it. :)

Actually it is not my daily driver simply an extra car. For my situation snow tires are not reasonable sine the two times I took it out where just because I wanted to take the car out. Also by paying for the car in full I have chosen to forgo some of the more "unnecessary" expenditures for a while.

My point was simply to affirm the poor performance of the stock tires. My P5 with Yokohamas' on 17"s handle way better in the snow, even if the MS3 didn't have all the torque.

I've got Toyo winter performance and it handles like a marvel in all conditions. The only drawback is if there is too much snow (read above lowest bumper point) then the front bumper acts like a snow plower!

I'm in Canada, so -40 + snow is the regular stuff in jan+feb
