i dont think it would be that hard.... mayb cut out the word mp3 in there and hopefully theres some light that will turn it on... idk or u can cut it out n put transparent paper behind it n it will glow a different color... geez now i want to do this lol. but i rahter get a spart cluster to try iton first.

Well..the thing is how do we have the Mazdaspeed printed there. If we just paste a mazdaspeed sticker on it, I don't think it will look nice. And if we gonna do a cut-out of the mazdaspeed words, using our hand to do it is difficult. We need some kind of machine or maybe some laser-cut equipment to achieve a perfect cut.

the mazdaspeed is cut out of the gauge face. but do you have an mp3 or a mazdaspeed? if you have an mp3 be proud, dont be a wannabe. go custom. dont copy. just my $.02 but its your ride.

About a year and a half ago I had SpeedHut make overlays that are replicas of the MSP gauges. They're like $80 for the set. They don't have to be exactly like the MSP ones however, they colors can be different. Plus on the SpeedHut ones the 'Mazdaspeed' portion lights up. The MSP ones do not.

Message me if you are interested. I don't think I ever listed them on our website.

To buy those from Mazda would cost a fortune....

i like the way u think MP3Architect lol. i thought the mazdaspeed part of the gauge glowed? i guess not... o well i rather cut it out that says MP3 n have it glow that would look sooooooo much better.

I can have them Made to say MP3 too, but that really doesn't mean anything to anyone except you and other Protege owners ya know? Mazdaspeed at least means something and doesn't ONLY refer to a model of Protege. Mazdaspeed the company was around long before the MSP or MP3 was even thought of. But what you want your gauges to say is entirely up to you... personal preference. I personally don't like jargon or 'internet forum talk' because I hate having to explain things to those who are not in the know of it.

*I've attached a pic, it is not a very good one but you get the idea. The faces are silver, they just appear whitish in that pic. And as I was saying... the colors of the text and face can be changed as can the font. www.speedhut.com (note the Protege interior backdrop... ;) PS'ed quite a bit. That was a picture I took for them to use to show their tach in use. They changed the colors however)

I recently had SpeedHut build me electronic gauges to match my stock ones. Boost, A/F, and Volt (I needed them for an event, didn't have time to wait for fuel pressure). They look amazing and match very nice. I'm still trying to get some good pics of them, but it's hard with the glare that comes off them in a picture.

I think having a mazdaspeed logo on a "non-mazdaspeed tuned" protege meter face won't make u wannabe. Bro, do we have to be so serious about whatever decals or logos that are on our ride?

i work for mazda, you cannot buy the overlays seperate, it is required to purchase the entire cluster which is a fortune

im just sayin if you want a different gauge and you have an mp3 then be one of the first/few to get mp3 on it. but yeah, mazdaspeed is a brand not a car so having mazdaspeed on an mp3 is not totally out of line. but i would never write mazdaspeed on my mp3. its all up to the owners. i was just thinking outloud.

Yup, like what u said, a MP3 logo on the cluster will be unique. Mine is just a normal protege so I guess if I really have the MP3 logo on, it'll look totally out coz we do not have MP3 here & MP3 is a model name given to the car, just like DX, LX or in Singapore here it is call 323 Protege GLX. Arrhh..what the heck...I think I'll put all mazda-related logo on it..haha

How much is it for the entire cluster face?

ok then you wouldn't want mp3 then. i just assumed you were an mp3 since you posted in an mp3 thread. maybe you should ask in the appearance section instead.

I would love to see those pics, of the matching 52mm gauges... (bow)

I've got to take pics for Speedhut anyway... so I'll have them eventually.
