Hello Everyone, I just thought I would make one of this build up threads since Ive seen alot of ppl doing it so.
Well Im Fairly new with the Mazda Familia, in the past all i owned was Honda. But I decided to go for something different. Last Year around May, i bought my first Mazda, a 99 Mazda Protege ES. Found it on craigslist and traveled about 2 hrs to go pick it up . Well since then Ive already started doing some stuff to it. But just till now I decided to show you guys what Ive done to her. I got her bone stock, black with a 5speed tranny. Anyways im still wanting to do more stuff to her but my progress is slow and steady. So ill show you guys what ive done so far to it.

This is when i first got her

So One of the first thing i did to it was basically do a full tune up , Painted the stock wheels black, got some wind deflectors and Also I got that mp3 rear wing.

I got cheap air intake from ebay lol

I swapped the center console to the mazdaspeed center console

I researched about body kits and exterior looks and i ended up liking the JDM front style bumper Sport20. I took me so long to get a hold of one but i finally did. ill post some pics of it.

I have done some other stuff to it by now, ill be posting the pics when i get a chance

Alright! Im back to add some more pics of what i have already done to my baby. Im gonna go in order of which i got the stuff, Next I got a pair of P5 side skirts

Next i was deciding about what type of rear lip i should get, either the msp or the mp3 lip. and i liked the Mp3 rear lip better so i finally found one

So I swapped the stock cluster for a msp cluster with the white gauges but i accidently broke one of the needles while doing it so I got a regular cluster, istead this time i got lucky and bought some DaveB rings

One other thing...I didnt like that crappy stock horn and i wanted something louder and i got me twin horns from sickspeed

Got some mazdaspeed door sills all 4 of them!

Did a steering wheel swap and i got the msp steering wheel

Well my friend came up with the idea to add some "zebra print" in our cars lol and i decided to do a lil stuff.

Might do the engine valve cover zebra also when the weather warms up a bit.

Wanted to add a lil more sound to the car and i was lucky and picked up a Greddy Evo2 exhaust

after i put it on

Wanted to make the body even so i added a lip to the front end

whole car picture(need a new paint job so bad

Well guys thats as far stuff ive done to my car by now. but i will be updating the thread as i be adding new stuff to her.
Last but not least i picked up a set of 17's Oz Racing Superleggeras Wheels that im working on sanding right at the moment and will be installing them when i buy my lowering kit because i wanna lower it and install the wheels at the same time.

yeah definitely need to go lower with 17's wheels, Im thinking of lowering with the eibach pro kit, ive seen alot of users lowering that way. n

Thanks man! I got a question, for that mp3 spoiler, did you have to drill 2 or 3 holes? I was thinking of getting the msp one but no ones selling them the mp3 spoiler could be an alternative

no problem and i had to drill 3 wholes and i run the third break light wire throuh the whole in the middle. Oh and the msp wing you can find it on ebay lol for around 150ish, one of my friends is gonna buy it off there today for his protege.

I got the eibach sport lines on mine and love them! Ready to get coilovers though. I'm Rollin 17s with the hp blue struts and eibach sport lines and fenders are perfectly flush with tires. Just barley enough not to rub. Ill prolly keep this height and just add body clips to give it a lower look. Have you found and wheels you like yet. Wish I could post a pic of my car but idk how to do it off a iPhone. I do have a pic in my profile though its not great cause it was dark out. Maybe one day ill learn to post pics with iPhone. Lol
