Mazda6 Front end Clicking

I have a 2005 Mazda6 V6 5spd. When taking off from a stop at normal speed there is a clicking noise from the front end. Has anyone had a similar problem and know what it may be? The stabilizer links look OK. I was wondering if it was a possible CV joint problem, but it doesn't seem to make noise any time other than starting to move. It made the same noise when I tried starting in second gear, so I have ruled out a transmission problem with first gear, although it could be another trans problem. I also thought possibly a motor mount could be the issue. Are motor mounts a problem in theses cars? Any help would be appreciated.

I have the exact same problem - i can only hear it inside the car though - if i roll down the windows to try and hear it, i just cant hear it.....but it also makes it when im parked and rev it - so i dunno...

CV's definetly. I had the same problem on 2 other cars. I dont know about the 6, but its easier to replace the whole axle.

dont wanna thread jack but I have a simular problem in the speed6, when I got up and down curbs pulling into the drive way I feel a clunk in the steering wheel like its loose or somthing - feels like the steering pops out then back into place - anyone else have this issue

ok well its not the CV joints for me because it does it while in Park. It only clicks at very low RPMs, and not all the time....any more thoughts?
