that guy is obviously a frustrated novelist who while working on the great american novel writes car reviews to make coffee money.

Dan Neil is a 2004 Pulitzer Prize winner writing for the L.A. Times.

I actually fine his "occasionally long" car reviews humourous and entertaining... and we are talking about cars! If you can believe it, his review of the 2008 Honda Accord bucked the common trend and was NOT glowing, but still made me chuckle. Reminds my of the sportswriter Bill Simmons of ESPN.
