Mazda3 wheels on silver Proteg5

crazybassmp5 / Chicken SOup:

the car is lowered RacingBeat springs. i still need to add this kind of info in my signature.

anarchistchiken:

i think your talking about the black and white image. i'm going to use a similar shot for the cover of a brochure i'm designing. the other one will probably be used on the back cover. the brochure is going to promote performance parts for the proteg5. i'm going to submit it with my application to a place that is hiring a graphic designer. so the brouchure is not for a real client it's just a sample of what i can do off the cuff.

i'll be using one of the color images in the brochure as well. that is mainly why i have been motivated to take these shots. glad to read all the great feedback. so check out the logo for my make believe Mazda Proteg5 performance company called ADROITEK. Adroit means to be dexterous and skillfull in the handleing of... we all know that handleing is the cornerstone of the Proteg5! Here's the link:

Looks nice. Sometimes factory take off wheels can are a nice alternative to aftermarket rims. If your don't want to spend alot of money it's way classier then putting ARs or Motegis on a car.

How heavy are those rims? .. And do you thinkg they would rub on an set of Eibachs (bout half inch lower than MSP / MP3 springs)?

Looks great btw

all wheels look better on a P5, look at the 3 wheels here, the MSP wheels in my sig or any other P5 with speed wheels. RX8 wheels look hella better on a P5. Anything im missing?

mazda3 wheel weight

ChuEy826:

the weight of the mazda3 17" wheels are 22 pounds each. They are not light but they look better than the P5 stockies. Yeah, I would think there wouldn't be any rubbing issues even if you dropped another 1/2". Furthermore, I never rub with my setup.

MikeBlueP5:

werd... I did have my mind set on the RX8 wheels for my P5 and bid on a couple ebay autions but lost. My luck finally came with these rims hooked up right here on the mazda forums :)

photo usage

I'm glad to share these images here on mazda forums but the true intent of my photography was to produce images to use for a promotional brochure I designed. Now that it's done I've uploaded it. If anyone is interested you can view the *layouts here:

snooky:

i'm not sure what your asking me but if it's about the wheels, they were purchased from mazda forums member (mazda3hatchback).

if your talking about the layouts, they're original, drawn up from scratch. from the main photos to the line illustrations of the background. even the ADROITEK logotype is completely custom. i carefully rendered each letterform on a 40x40 grid in adobe illustrator. if you look at the negative area of the symbol you'll see that it is the negative space that exist in the steering wheel of the P5. it's not just some arbitrary shape, so there is some inspiration showing through there.

txrxs:

i'm an aspiring graphic designer. since i captured these images i tried to implement them into a compelling brochure promoting performance parts for the P5. It's not "real" but it's just an amateur portfolio piece to show what my capabilities are to future employers.

i must confess on the inside panels of the brochure there are several photos lifted from other sources. i can only claim credit for 3 of those thumbnail size photos (the mazda3 wheel, strut tower brace, and cai pics). the rest are from the mazdaspeed brochure (stabalizer bars, springs, struts, muffler, brake pads [RX8]), nissan nismo sentra se-r brochure (header, camshafts [*no flaming]), and import racer magazine (turbo, front mount intercooler). i even stole some words for the nissan brouchure but nobody will care. Even future employers won't care because the point here is that after all logisitics are covered, i can ultimately put together a graphic design piece such as a simple brochure.

i would say that my strongest skills are developing logos and symbols. also, i downloaded the mazda logo directly from mazda. yeah it's a registered trademark but they won't care that i'm using it for my personal portfolio. i'ld rather think they might like to see such a sample. and at least i came up with my own tuner company instead of using "mazdaspeed".

man that that looks awasome ur really good. BUt i was asking where u got the rims from. they look really good on the p5, thanks again ciao!

Do they look kinda stick out from the body?? cause i think the mazda3 rims has a 52 offset. also if match with eibach do you think it will rub??

those look *really* nice. they seem to fill out the wheelwells even better than the MSP wheels.

CTpro5:

the wheels do not stick out from the body at all and the actual wheel offset is 52.5 mm. if you check back at my link you can see that the wheels do not extrude out from the tire well. i've actually cruised over a speed bump at 25 mph (on accident) and the wheels did not rub the fenders. i drove the car hard around corners without rubbing and successfully ascended/descended steep driveways (at an angle) likewise. i think the wheel was able to travel within the tire well during these instances just as the stock wheel would have.

you may run mazda3 wheels with eibach springs but those drop the car a bit more than the racingbeat springs and yah might be rubbing then. so i suggest the racingbeat springs since i know for sure they don't rub even under extreme conditions (in regards to street driving).

dmitrik4:

yes they look and fit very well and i'm very pleased with their performance. and now that i have my stock wheels back on (for the winter) i can tell the difference. first of all the ride is a little more plush due to the larger profile of the tire taking up more of the road vibrations. second my steering feels kinda squishy and that's the profile of the tire again flexing under the wheel more. but lately it's been snowing in my area so i'm driving like an old grandma lately trying to avoid curbs and ditches.

LET IT SNOW!
