Mazda3 vs. Scion tC

Can yall tell me what's the major pros and cons against the two vehicles and how they match up against eachother.

I'm going to buy one or the other, but can't seem to decide which one to get. I'm leaning towards the Mazda simply because I don't have to wait 3 months to get one from Japan, but I'm willing to buy it if it is the better car.

So help please!

Can you elaborate more on why you prefer one over the other?

Just get a M3 if you need it "Before the 3 Month" period. If not, wait to test drive it. Only you can decide if the car is good for you or not...

That's irrelevent because I've driven both and I'm still on the fence about it. Hence, my problem.

IMO the car you want should jump out at you as being what you want to drive...

I didn't even know about the Toyota Scion at the time I saw the Mazda3 5 door online. I've owned 2 new Toyota's and a used one. None of them ever excited me so I wasn't looking for one last year. I thought about waiting for the '05 Mustang but didn't want to wait almost a year.

I researched the 3 online, found a local dealer that had what I wanted, drove there the next day, test drove one but bought the one I wanted that was in the showroom. It only had 1 mile on the odometer. I bought it and within a couple of hours of paper work and them getting it ready I drove it home. I have been happy ever since. My neighbor bought a new Toyota Matrix right after I bought the Mazda. It has some of the ugliest ground effects, body kit or what ever it's called on it I've ever seen and I'm glad I didn't buy the Toyota, since this one definitely doesn't excite me. In fact it repulses me evey time I see it. Don't get me wrong. A Toyota is usually a pretty reliable vehicle, it just doesn't turn me on. So far, and I don't drive a lot, my Mazda3 has had no problems.

I'm 61 years old and have owned over 72 cars and trucks. The last 2 cars I owned that excited me was my new '69 Ford Fairlane Cobra 428 CJ, and my '66 Sunbeam Tiger until the Mazda3. My .02

The Scion tC looks quite nice in my opinion and is probably a good buy. (I happen to own a Mazdaspeed Protege.) I would seriously consider getting one, but the Mazdaspeed is more practical (for me) for the fact that is has four doors. I simply got tired of two door cars. But, out of all of the Scions, the couple is the one that stands out to me because of its' potential power (supercharger) and body style.

It really is one or the other because I loved the ride in both. The Mazda3 seemed tighter, but the Scion was faster. But thanks for the input guys its helped.
