Mazda3 sport 2.3
Greetings people,
So I have decided to buy my Mazda3 after the lease is done with, given the reliability i have seen in the past year. My alternatives were the MS3 (discarded because i don't want a stick for my daily commute, traffic stinks especially when you're half awake) and the GTI (discarded because i heard it VERY unreliable) those were the only two alternatives because I have never owned nor will ever own anything but a hatch (with VERY few exceptions) and in the states hatch options are limited.

Okay so after this long troll-like introduction, here comes the question. What do you recommend me to mod ? I am looking for ideas here. I would like to keep it as close to stock as possible and my list was:
- HIDs
- brighter fog light bulbs
- light tint (what should i go for ? i would like to have good visibility at night)
- Homelink rear view mirror
- Better speakers and a sub.
- Better shocks/springs a bit stiffer and with a slight drop (need recommendations here)
- ECU remap ? is this safe ? are there recommended brands ?
- new rims and performance wheels (preferring the 18" off the MS3)
- winter tires for me 17"

What else do you guys recommend ? please give me your input.
ohh. and it's an 08 Mazda3 s (i wish i took the GT when i leased :()

That is a pretty good list to start with, lol... There really isn’t any ECU remap options for the MZ3 unless you want a piggyback which is normally only needed for turbo applications.

i gotta say it.....

NAAAAAAWWWWWSSSS!

lol, yeah. 50 wet shot of zex will do ya! coming in the next couple of months to my 3. ;)

looks like a good list. for a slight drop i'd say go 1.5 inch. i have a 2 inch drop on right now, and it looks awesome but if you have bad streets around your area go with 1.5

if you are in a sunny hot area of the world then tint would make life easy, lowering springs, and endlinks make your daily alittle more fun around corners.
HID's are a good choice stick with mid range stuff like 6000k or something
upgrade the tires too, the toyos my car came with were pretty much crap.
intake is good you can hear your car better but its not too much noise like some exhausts. and an exhaust on an atx sounds stupid (I have an atx)

thats pretty much my list for a reliable fun daily and almost all of these mods are easy:

Tires
springs (kinda annoying to put in)
endlinks
HID's
intake
tint

Advanced timing mod, replace you interior lights with LEDs, paint calipers, better rear sway bar. Just a few off the top of my head
