2014~2018 Mazda3 OEM Big Brake Upgrade

If the stock brakes couldn't lock up the wheels, why have an ABS system? Obviously, you need it on wet roads, but back before ABS, tires would lock up all the time on under hard braking on dry pavement, leading to longer stopping distances.

It doesn't lock up easily on dry roads at high speeds, which was my point. The stock brakes are good enough to lock up at 30mph or whatever else not freeway speeds, but once you go above 70mph, things are quite different between stock vs upgraded brakes
