I was wondering what is the stock high beam wattage is for the Mazda3? I thought it was 55w, but I'm seeing 65w as the standard. I don't want to burn the wires out...

i dont think youll burn the wires out. the ballasts for the HID headlights are used because the actual bulb doesnt regulate its own current consumption. so even if you put a 55w all that would happen is in a worst case scenario is you would blow a fuse or burn out a capacitor in the ballasts. better a fuse than a capacitor though....i think they are expensive to replace. anyways....i dont know the answer to your question. im just full of the wrong s***. lol.

You won't hurt the wires at all if you put a 55w bulb in a 65w socket...you only run into problems with wires/heat if you put in a bulb with a higer draw than the wiring is designed for. ;)

What page in the manual? That thing is huge and I dont see it in the bulb replacment section either.

Its hard to find a 55w bulb unless its PIAA which is too expensive, so I was thinking of getting a 65w for replacement but I'm not trying to replace anything other than the bulb haha

try the index. better yet, take some time and actually look through the owners manual. You might learn a few things.

I did, still can't find it... It doesn't even list the bulb type i need, I had to look for that online. It just shows you how to replace the bulbs. I'm just betting their 65w though, seems reasonable
