Mazda3 dropped with intake and exhaust! PICS

Arizona?? Well, s***. There's the explanation, right there. Too much sun fries the brain.

Besides that, a "pothole" in AZ is like the size of a golf ball. You have to understand something, man... we (Michigan and Lower Ontario people) have potholes that swallow cars whole. I'm not even exaggerating a little bit when I say that we have s*** that causes tires, wheels, ball joints, struts, control arms, tie rod ends and anything else unsprung to break right in two on BRAND NEW cars. If we tried cutting springs around here, we'd be riding on the frame rails in about a week.
Not to mention all the little critters running around. I hit a racoon one time and it did $700 damage... to a 1989 Toyota Tercel! Biggest frickin ring-tail I've ever seen. Must have weighed 40 lbs.

Anyway, I can't agree with what you did but you have balls for doing it. A shorter spring with the stock spring rate is just asking for trouble.

heh heh... you think roads around here have golf ball sized potholes? oh man, i wish that was the case. between the sun beating on the asphalt year round, followed by torrential downpour, much of the asphalt actually breaks loose and forms GIANT potholes. so big that even the rednecks in their giant full sized SUV's with 38" wheels have to dodge these bad boys.

you wanna be different from honda ricers and s*** but you cut your springs and slap on a metal piece and filter and call it an intake and just cut the exhaust and replace it

Vivid racing sounds like just a bunch of people that have cars and make a club up or something, i would never trust someplace that would cut springs on a car

For one Vivid Racing didnt cut my springs, I did before I worked here. And two, clubs who make up names dont get on covers of NUMEROUS magazines like Modified, Turbo, Sport Compact Car. etc.. next time you are at a grocery store pick up the new issue of Modified or Turbo. And last it wil be done right as soon as they are released... dont have a hernia worrying about what I do to my car. It was simply a temporary modification until parts were released. god it's amaizing how people get pissed from what other people do to their car. Next time you cuss at your girlfriend or burp without saying excuse me im gonna get on your case about how much of a poor excuse you are. It's simple, just shut up and dont worry about it. It goes along with what we all leaned in school, if you don't have something nice, then don't say it at all. And that pertains to this post too, but it had to be said for learning purposes. hahaha

Congratulations on the PRE purchase of some actual springs. Please get shocks that match the drop...you know...dampening force...or do you not sell them at the store you associate yourself with?

Very nice drop. And who cares if he cut his stocks, it's only TEMPORARY. It's not like he's gonna be auto crossing with cut stocks. Back when this whole modding import thing started in the late 80's early 90's we would cut our springs when parts were not available yet, and the ride isn't that bad. Now would we keep them on permanently, absolutely not.

Astheticly Speaking, It is a bit to low for my taste, and the wheels seem to deep into the car. However mad props to you, Im 20 with my own mazda3, and I wont even change my own oil (I pay the stupid 60$ every 7000-8000 km). I've also looked for pics of slightly modded out cars (not riced) and I really appreciate the images!.

Btw just hearing the word "Cutting" in the same sentance as a brand new 20k+ car scares me a little :S.
