Not sure if I missed it or not, but what exact engine is that 2.0L that they're running? Bored out race version of the stock motor, or some other engine?

They're using the 2.0L MZR, yes, but the article says they custom-built a Hollinger 6-speed to mate up with it.

Either way, that motor in stock form is good for about 155 HP...quite a nice upgrade for the 2!

I was thinking of Rallying my Mazda2 also. SCCA in the washinton DC area has rally events over in Summitpoint in west virginia.

Summit Point is a fun track! Took the ole PGT out on the Jefferson once, but I do have some friends(Subaru) that rallye there and love it.
