Awesome...

"The cars and trucks gathered in the lot are a hodgepodge of seemingly every enthusiast niche imaginable. There are Porsches, M3s, Mustangs, Camaros, and even a Mazda5"

:D

So...what's happened to our reason to wake in the morning and greet the day (AKA Speed5)? Not the crusher!!!!

Or have you sold it to some unsuspecting retired couple who cut their teeth driving manual trans corn-binders around the farm? Stick didn't scare them away but the speeding tickets will do them in.

If it's sitting behind the shop waiting for One Lap 2011, dump it on a truck and send it my way. I will take good care of it until next April and even send it back (run hard and put away wet) on my dime. Tickets be damned!

Yes

I must know the fate of the speed5!

more pics of project.... Brake lines in and wiring looms all set as is master cylinder and all ABS
Could you give more details on the braking components? Was everything removed for easy build and then reinstalled or did you actually swapped out the every single component of the braking system including brake lines and the ABS module from the MS3?.. Did you retain the stock rear brake from the 5?

What components did you swap-out (assuming you swapped it is b/c the MS3 part was bigger/better not identical)? Im wonder if the parts below are interchangeable and which are essentially the same/same part number. Trying to narrow down what is needed to upgrade the front braking components.

What is interchangeable and what is identical below?
-Master cylinder
-ABS module
-ABS sensor
-Brake lines
-Caliper
-Caliper brackets
-Rotors
-Pads

Thanks!

They fixed it though and they're already preparing for next year's One Lap of America.

I've been looking through the forum to see if anyone had any info on the Car & Driver Mazda5 (Boss Wagon). Anyone have any info? I'll keep checking other sites as well..
