mazda replacing my muffler

is there a sound difference between the two (03.5 and 03) mine is cracked also and im thinking about having mazda replace it......just not sure yet.....also, is it a hassle of ANY sorts?

just went to a dealership (1 hour drive) to ask about the exhaust with pictures of two cracks. The SA basically said they won't replace it, because it doesn't cause any drivibility problems...I hate mazda...I'm going to call MNOA.

Just called MNOA and was told that it depends on the dealership because they can't diagnosis through the phone. I've made an appointment with another dealership on thursday (the one that changed only one bushing last time...) to see if they'll do something. ANd if that doesn't work out I'm going to the other dealership this friday.

What's the point of having a warranty if nothing ever gets done with it? I'm so frustrated with the whole thing (clunk, exhuast, warped rotors).

that sucks man. i went to mine this morning , showed him the cracks told him i have friends that have had the same issue and there dealership changed it with this muffler.. gave him the part number... he said ok we have the muffler and will order the gasket for u.. come back tomorrow morning.. it should take about 1-1.5 hour..

The won't replace your muffler for a 2003, you'll get the real mazdaspeed muffler

that looks tite ... does it sound better? notice any gains ..

The sound is a little deeper, ..... gain..not really, the muffler is louder so it seem faster

It's a new, car. The wheels spin in 1st 2nd 3th and 4th gear.(crazy)

Looked at mine yesterday, seems as if the entire bottom half is cracked! They'll screw me out of a new one anyway, so I probably won't even bother.

just got back from mazda, 20 minutes and a new mazdaspeed muffler! yah for me!! looks 10 times better than the RB muffler. isn't as loud or adeep as i was hoping, but still about 3 times better in that category. should sound better when i get a test pipe in there and get rid of those cats. speaking of, is that just a straight shot form the stock DP to cat-back part?
