no, but i did shave a full second off my 1/4 times, with cai,header,axle back.

the last time i went to the track i ran a 16.1@85(3 weeks ago)
but that was in 100+ degree weather and i even spun the wheels a little. this also was my second time ever runing @ a track like that(nerves). but i positve that i can run high 15's with more practice & better track temp's.
this week i will be installing cams & mp3 ecu so i hope to get in the mid 15's soon.

gaskets are sent with the header kit. Proper install will not result in any leaks. The EGR piece was made long enough to prevent leaks. The seal nut on the stock piece need to be pulled back on intallstion. Keep in mind that every ones will have a different level of difficulty on install, depending on tools and how incline they are.


YES the chrome will turn color after a while.

If you have an od exhaust with a 3 bolt flange, you will have to modify.

I did get 1 Gasket for the header, but I did not get any for the mid pipe. Trust me it needs 2 at that pipe.

Yes I did have an after market exaust that cuased me problems as I stated that in my previous post.

It would have also been nice to get some new bolts for the mid pipe.

Don't get me wrong Ric, I like the header. These are just a few things that would make it easier for future buyers to install your header. Constructive critisism hopefully.

RacingMazda is the s*** everyone...Ric has done nothing but help and answer all my newbie questions about these headers, and completely cleared up any questionable thoughts i had about the buy! if you are new and looking at this post - these are the headers to go with, IMO! But ill let you know for sure on Friday-ish when i get them!!!

hey razorp5 you should get your headers power coated blue before you put them on to match the rest or your engine.

i dont know anywhere around here that does it...besides what if it doesnt match the other blues? maybe i should just hi-temp paint it with 1500 degree paint in red?

yeah it would be hot but where id you find paint that can handel that hi of temps? The higest I've seen is like 900

if you mean motor wise? i have : mp3 ecu,j-spec cams,racing mazda header,ingen cai,hks axle back,groundwires(on the way)

***also to all of you who are getting headers try looking into getting them wraped w/header wrap. its looks awsome imo and it helps out on the heat.....just a thought.
