mazda protege need help Fuel pump lines

Anyone here know what the best way to get the lines off the fuel sending unit I know they sell tools to remove the lines but went to the parts store and they didn't have it I try using a flat head screwdriver but no luck don't want to mess up the clips anyone here have a picture of the tool?

can't say i'd pull the pump's power source with a pool of gasoline laying there; there is a fuel pump relay in the engine bay...but everything else seemed safe enough...
