Mazda MP3 head exchange

yes i was curious if there was some sort of head exchange for the Mazda MP3. my car is smoking when i start it up but quits after that and my mechanic told me to look around to see if there was some kind of head exhange out there for my car. any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

As long as yours is not warped or cracked, it can be rebuilt with new valvetrain components. No need to get rid of yours unless its been tested and confirmed to be useless. Sounds like you just need a valve job.

my mechanic said if there was some kind of exchange program i could send mine in and get a new one and save some money.

Any 2.0L FS-DE head will work on your car, so if you really want to get another one, take some tools and go to a junkyard or something.

But really, unless it's warped or cracked (as previously mentioned..) you can rebuild it with new internals.

to actually answer your question, YES, you can send your head to PG and in return they can rebuild you a built head minus the cost of the head had the supplied it.

but i think this is only for upgraded heads if your looking to upgrade (PnP, bigger valves, cams etc)
