Mazda increasing CX-50 production

・ Currently, we are building a new sports utility vehicle (SUV ) CX-50 exclusively for North America by operating only in the daytime, and we will introduce night shifts to start full-scale production.

・ Production at the new plant in Alabama is expected to be expanded to two shifts by the end of the year.

They need to. I've had my CX-50 almost 3 months and have not seen a single one of mine on the road, over 3000 miles driven.

They've only sold about 3,200 through May so it's not surprising that you would not have seen one on the road. It's a new plant producing a new model--they would want to work out bugs and optimize the the manufacturing process before producing in quantity. Most manufacturers would operate in this way. Even new models in existing plants follow this path.
