Also, after rethinking and a few inquiries that were made to me, I have decided to give the donation in cash so I will not be making ANY BENEFIT OFF OF THIS. I have no interest in getting a large writeoff, and so to prove, I will make the donation in cash.

interesting thread and posts from those that I expect more from.A kind hearted thing trashed by the mouthy.
Very nice gesture everyone. But whatever you do, do not give ot the red cross. They are one of the most corrupt organizations when it comes to this stuff. Not to start a debate or anything but after 9/11 they took half the money that was supposed to be donated to the families and kept it. They did a similar thing after the oklahoma city bombing.

My sons first birthday is on Feb. 25th. To be honest he needs nothing but the love we already give. So we are throwing him a birthday party and asking people to bring a donation to give to CCF(Christian Childerns Fund) and the Red Cross in his name for the tsunami relief.
WE ARE ALL RESPOSIBLE FOR EACH OTHER - we all live in one big house- Earth.

I would like to see where you guys are getting your information on the Red Cross. If you are pulling it out your ass that is sad. If there really is info about them not using money properly then post it. I have nothing but good things to say about them. They send messages to military members with dead relatives for free in a very timely fashion.
