I created this thread for those of you that know our system when it comes to the corral. This years Mid-Ohio is going to be huge and with over 70 Castrol Employees coming out, Team Sahlen employees as well as the Make A Wish Volunteers, we need to keep on top of things.

Here is the list, if you prefer not t be on the list let me know, as I will understand. You assignemnts will not be for the entire weekend, we are going to rotate people so no one is tied to the corral the entire weekend. For those who are lending a hand Saturday, especially with the parking, your assignment should not last long at all, as I expect most of the cars to be at the track fairly early.

1. Evan #1 (Tessa)

As I stated previously, we will be very busy on Saturday, as there will be a lot going on and we want to have it all sorted out before the first cars hit the track on Friday morning. With that being said, here is what we are looking at.

1. Castrol Oil List Sign In Sheet
2. Freedom T-shirt Sign In Sheet
3. Team Sahlen Hot Dog Hat Sign in sheet ( $10.00 donation required)
4. Dyno Sign up-we need two people to assist (Levi you are out on this one, you did too good of a job @ LRP)
5. Raffle/Silent Auction-Lauri is contact person
6. Parking-(Phen is the contact person)
7. Hospitality/Food Service-Lauri is the contact person
8. Grid Marshall's-Tom is your contact
9. Paddock Tours-Tom and Phen will be leading the tours.
10. Parade Laps/Drivers Meeting-Marlon

I will be PM'ing each of you in the weeks to come, as I should have a tentative schedule by the end of the week from Grand-Am Marketing. I am really excited about this corral, I think this will be the largest we've ever had!

I'll do the same stuff as LRP - parking/hospitality/misc.
Woman will be helping Lauri out with w/e she needs. I already informed her. She has no choice. :D

I'm ready to help wherever you need me to. Jen as well in a limited kind of way, you know.

I will do whatever I need to! You saw what I can handle at VIR so I am good to do whatever! I just like helping! :)

Justine you will be assisting Lauri, along with Jenny, Natalie and Melanie(NEPOC). We will have a lot going on the hospitality front, name tags, handing out Freedom Shirts and Sahlen Hats as well. Thanks to all of you guys lending a hand.

One important item, if you are going to dyno your car, please DO IT ON FRIDAY!!! Saturday will be a very busy day! Thanjks

Subbin and per our texts I'll help with the Dyno on Saturday.

I will be there nice and early on friday and can help out all day with any thing needed

I'm working on a plan for the parking to maximize the space that we will have. Whoever is helping with the parking the day of, I'll get with you guys.

Here is who will be handling what at the corral

1. Lauri: Hospitality/Registration/Raffle-Silent Auction

2. Tom: Paddock Tours/Grid Marshal/Assist w/ Hospitality/Raffle

3. Phen: Parking/Grid Marshal/Dyno/Assist with Parade Laps

4. Marlon: Operations/Parade Laps/Castrol/Shinebox/Mid-Ohio, Grand-Am, Mazdaspeed Motorsports & Mazda Teams/Assist where needed.

So do you want us to choose what we're doing or do you already have a list of who's doing what?

We are working on the assignments now and we'll have them out once we confirmed when people are gettinf=g to the track. We do have partial assignemnts and we'll put those up tomorrow. I do want to ask the following for our volunteers; Please dyno your car on Friday, as Saturday will be crazy busy and we do have a schedule to maintain.

All corral workers will receive a special Mazda shirt, so you will be different, we do not have a lot of sizes, so you'll have to make due with what we have.

We'll have a prelim list of assignments up for the corral workers by weeks end. We will have the Freedom T's and Sahlen Hot Dog hats at the corral. Again, we are trying to have 100 cars in our corral, if not more. It is critical that we have this event together, not only fo rthe Mazda execs, but for the Castrol employees and Mid-Ohio as well.

Should be a great event, we are getting a lot donations for prizes and we will have signage provide dby Shinebox listing the prizes and the cost of raffel tickets, we'll alos print out flyers to hand out to the general public as well.

The cool thing is that we had a few test events with the Shinebox guys already under our belts for this one. Those of us involved in the other ones have a good idea as to what's going on, and how it goes down.

Marlon, do you still need the aerial Mid-Ohio photo for those guys?

We're good, I found one for them!

I have a dumb question. Where is the tent going to be? Or is that yet to be determined?
